  1. As much as I wanted Coventry up to go from non league to the PL is some going. Fair play.
  2. Agree. Which is why they are both positions which need upgrading.
  3. Absolute lifeline for Coventry.
  4. Almirón has had a great season when looking at his numbers but when you look at his whole tenure here, including his form in 2023 so far, there's nothing there to suggest that the run he had in October-November wasn't a purple patch. He's very useful in games where we don't see a lot of the ball but press the opposition, as seen v Brighton the other day, but as an attacker where we have a lot of the of the ball and the onus is on us to unlock a deep sitting defence I don't think he's good enough for a CL team. His all round play in possession is poor imo. Good squad option to have with 4 competitions next season, likewise with Murphy, but if I was to give you an ideal starting XI for next season after the transfer window has closed Almirón is not in it.
  5. Lascelles has only started twice this season on the league iirc, Liverpool and Man City both away. He did well in both, but that's because I think he's a competent box defender. Good in a defence that's sat deep like we were in those games. If we're sat higher up and are seeing a lot of the ball I don't think he's useful. He isn't good at bringing the ball out or finding passes and we're in trouble if the ball is played over the top of him in a high line as he turns like a tanker.
  6. Newly promoted side at SJP first game of the season is a lush fixture to start off with.
  7. Understand some trepidation about playing newly promoted sides in their first home game of the season but at SJP, absolutely not. Did not fear Forest one bit this season and low behold, they were absolutely terrible. One of the most one-sided games of ours this season.
  8. Coventry for me but they haven't turned up yet so far.
  9. Just read that. Terrible, patronising article written by a terrible journalist who has clearly not watched us for more than 2 or 3 matches this season. The top comment is a great response.
  10. Mackem who tweeted the video and pictures has deleted his account.
  11. fucking hell man https://twitter.com/bIurt99/status/1662068127943782402?t=bj242n0cDCNwsae0BBrlzQ&s=19
  12. I agree that young fans need the chance to go to away games because as things stand unless they are lucky enough to know people with points to get helped out like me, they're never going to an away game for the foreseeable. I think there's a while to go before home and away tickets are fully digital. Think every club in the league issues paper tickets for away ends, even if all of the home end is fully digital. Man Utd and Everton are two that I know of.
  13. Disagree personally. Leicester do it as well; a random amount of away tickets are meant to be collected at the the ground's ticket office with matching ID and their fans despise it. What if a couple days before you realise can't make it so you want to give the ticket to your son, brother or a mate and they go down, get checked and don't get let in? That's the issue for me. I genuinely don't know what the answer is tbh. People will kick off no matter what they do with the system.
  14. That squad night out must've been heavy.
  15. Same. That he loves us due to the SBR connection enhances it for me. Got me partly hoping he wins the EL and we get Roma in our CL group.
  16. It's impressive how pretty much everyone, including their own fans, hate Spurs. https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1661731369247191045?t=MmfFNEl2_JsXY8L5l_2l3w&s=19
  17. It's actually been Danny Ward for the majority of the season who is somehow worse. Iversen is an okay shot stopper but his distribution is awful.
