Attwell reffing this. Andy Madley on VAR. If we win this we'll already be better off points wise than in every single one of our PL seasons since the 5th season. We'd be 15 points off that total.

Serbia primarily hate Kosovo, Croatia and Bosnia from the former Yugoslavia. Them and Montenegrins are mostly fine even after the dissolution of the state Serbia & Montenegro, only hiccup in recent years has been Montenegro recognising the soverignty of Kosovo. It's a bit of a mess. All comes from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the 160+ years of history since then.

Haven't been able to put out our strongest XI all season, our next game is in April. Hope not mind. Thought Joelinton on the left stifled our attacks a bit when he played there a bit in January. Good for defensive work but going forward I thought we were a bit blunt when he was there.

Eddie finally being able to write out a team sheet that has ASM, Isak, Bruno, Gordon all in the same starting XI.

Sake, gutted there'll be no more 'Cunty' posts from Disco.

Didn't watch the game tonight as I've probably in the past made it clear about apathy towards international football in the main, but I don't understand the need to immediately jump onto Southgate's back after almost every single England game. I probably was doing so as well in Euro 2020 when he wasn't starting Sancho (which given how he's been for Man Utd recently was 100% totally justified) and played 2 holding mids at Wembley against Scotland yet he reached the final. I've seen England reach under him a WC semi final, Euros final and WC quarter final where we lost to the then world champions in a game in which we were the better side for the vast majority. A pen miss away England were from taking the game to extra time. A semi final, a final, and a quarter final in 3 tournaments. Which England manager since 1966 has achieved better than that? Or since when have England went on a better run in major tournaments than this? England have been awful in tournaments in the main since then especially in living memory: 74, 76, 78, 84, 88, 92, 94, 2000, 2010, 2014, 2016 where England have either not even qualified or been utterly pathetic. Southgate's teams haven't, have often qualified at a canter, yet loads are so keen to jump onto his back. I don't get it really.

Ahhh, man.

A dodgy curry is the reason apparently. We've all been there.

Favourite win: Villa (H). We were unstoppable that day in the 2nd half, 6-0 or 7-0 would not have flattered us in the slightest. Honourable mention to Leicester (A) given the polarising difference to last season and the many games against them under Ashley which would be an indictment on where the two clubs' trajectories were going. Favourite goal: The 2nd at home to Southampton in the League Cup semi. Geet sucker for a lush team goal. Who's surprised you most: Almirón. Wanted him gone in the summer, probably still do given I don't want him starting but no one could've foreseen double figures in goals. Fair play to him. Most frustrating: Probably has to go to ASM as much as I love him given his fitness issues and that performance against Man City contrasted with his others. Still want him here next season though. Mention to Wilson as well as he's been awful post World Cup, but he was brilliant before it. Best player: Bruno or Schär. Bruno's just quality but as many deserved plaudits as Botman has been getting Schär has been our best defender this season imo. Moment of the season: Tough one, either Forest (A) on Friday given the feeling of importance of it, Isak being back and fucking class and personally witnessing it in the away end was unreal. Or Chelsea (H); deservedly beating them, 3rd going into the break, bit of revenge on their players and Havertz given the last game against them at Stamford Bridge, loveleh. Reaching Wembley was dampened for me given the loss of Bruno for the league games and the song and dance made over the final got a bit irritating for me. Maybe I'm just miserable.

Shit source so hopefully bollocks but this makes no sense if it's true. Bruno, Isak and Botman have been amongst our best players this season, none of whom played in English football beforehand. The clubs we want to be competing with, the 'big 6' hardly ever take this approach either and with good reason. Hope it's a load of shite.

Would take blue numbers a la 2003-05, mind, black, white and blue are the colours of a magpie at the end of the day. We've had white and gold as well but they're probably not visible enough for auld commentators and TV watchers.

If any of those get changed I'll be storming wherever they meet and throwing a few Chester-le-Street sledgehammers about.

This one? Can only find the GIF.

That one's been my lock screen since that game.

I still like him and think he should be starting injuries permitting. On top of that we need a squad next season given we should hopefully be playing some kind of European football and he'll still get game time given the turnaround between matches. As the above post says there are so many in the squad (even those still out on loan) that need replacing well before ASM.
