More thinking back to when the Super League kicked off. Hardly ever listen to his MNF patter really tbh.

Bielsaball with that Everton side? God.

Neville's good on the wider issues in football and football governance but really poor on match and individual club analysis imo. Carragher is far better in that regard. Think everyone loved Neville when he first started the punditry lark because even though many out there are superior pundits now, at the time we'd been subjected to some relentless weapons for so many years.

Does it not just all boil down to losing to Man Utd (h) in March? If we win that game, even with the shit results at Arsenal, Blackburn, Liverpool, Man City, West Ham and Forest, we win the title. Even a draw may have not swung the momentum in their favour.

Never thought he'd be as much of an improvement as he has been. Been as essential to our defensive record as the rest of the back 4. Class. He flapped a bit at Liverpool's winner at Anfield iirc, but like fuck am I watching the highlights of that again so I may be remembering it wrong.

Isn't part of the problem with the atmosphere the ground's acoustics? The most noise comes from the Strawberry Corner and I doubt the noise is kept in the rest of the ground up to L7. If we reduced the size of the family enclosure and had another de facto L7 singing section in addition to the Strawberry Corner, wouldn't that have a massively positive effect? -
Nah Wood's debut was the previous game at home to Watford. But since that Leeds game a year ago today we've been in top 4 form since then up to now.

Still 3rd, still the only team to get a result at the Emirates, Eddie's mags

Atmospheres will get poorer the better we become, ie more possession, expectations, crowds going into the ground for games expecting to win against certain sides. Its the price of success unfortunately. Man City and Villa have been our best home atmospheres this season imo. But those games against Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs and Arsenal later on this season I expect to be unreal as long as they aren't the early kick off. Liverpool should be class, as should probably West Ham, given the 17:30 Saturday kick off time. -
Manchester United seem to be keeping long sleeve shirts alive.

Was hard to get any power on that tonight bf. He started making a run to the front post anticipating Trippier crossing it on the deck first time but he took a couple more touches and by the time the cross come in he was probably underneath the trajectory of the ball. Hard to get any power on that. Probably should've scored v Sheff Wed mind, though that header probably still beats the keeper more times and not given the bounce.

It was said in Sky's prediction page for the weekend's results that we are underperforming quite a bit in terms of scoring goals from set pieces against our xG from set pieces.
-
For the Isak header, he starts making a run towards the front stick. If Trippier hits a cross in on the deck first time he has an even better chance. But Trippier waited and Isak was probably right under the ball when the cross actually came in. Can't get any power on that.
-
Looked really rusty since his return. 0 goals in 8. Think it's time to start Isak.
-
I'd move Joelinton back into midfield. Isak and ASM to come in too. Need to rethink this front 3, scored 1 goal in 4 games now.

Should've chinned the vile little cunt.
