  1. May this tweet never be deleted.
  2. Back up for this, buzzing for it. Out from 3pm on the drink. Into these cockney meffs, United.
  3. Agree, I just don't know who is top quality who we could get. Don't think Henderson is that.
  4. Personally have a lot of thoughts on this debate and reasons why I’m uncomfortable with that kit. Those that say ‘we are going to be sponsored by Saudi companies et al, you are comfortable with that why not this’. Because I didn’t really expect this. Probably naïve of me, but Manchester City have never had an away kit comparable to the kit of the UAE national side or the colours of the UAE flag or Abu Dhabi flag. I wasn’t aware PSG ever had anything similar to Qatari colours until yesterday. Chelsea’s colours have always been blue, white and red. Saudi Arabia has a putrid regime which still has capital punishment by beheading, executes LGBTQ+ people, doesn’t treat women right and is doing horrid things to the people of Yemen. I know why they bought us, to paint their country in a positive light, I’m aware of that and know what KSA do and always will be. But I cannot walk away from my club. Always has been my club, always will be. Will continue to support it as I always have done and that won’t change because the owners have changed. I don’t want my club wearing a kit that is identical to the kit of their national team. And imo there’s no way to justify it. “look at the 99-00 kit!!”, “we’ve worn green in the past!!”, “look at this club’s kit!!”. Pointless whataboutery deflecting from the point. We’ve been taken over by Saudi Arabia and we could be looking exactly like their national side in some away games next season. I’m just inherently uncomfortable about it. Hopefully the design is pulled and this can all be put behind us.
  5. That's a very optimistic take. Personally I'd rather not have my club which represents where I'm from look like the Saudi national side in a few away games next season for the sake of an extra few million quid tbh.
  6. PL clubs only get anywhere from 5%-20% commission from shirt sales, the money the clubs get is from the initial deal with the manufacturer.
  7. Shirt sales won't affect our transfer budget or FFP in any meaningful way, though.
  8. PSG's 2020-21 third kit has given a modicum of solace. They've done it too, Qatari kit pretty much with a Qatari bank on the sleeve. It's still vile and I'll still hate it, mind.
  9. Especially as the nods to the UAE/Abu Dhabi at MCFC are mainly sponsorship in their stadium name, shirt sponsor, abroad training camps et cetera. But they've never made Man City a borderline copy of the UAE national side shirt or the colours of the flag of the UAE or Abu Dhabi. It's just taking the piss, that. Fuck off.
  10. Aye; sponsorship, investment, presence of them even being owners. I accept that, but I can't help at drawing the line at making the players representing Newcastle United wearing the colours of their flag and national team. Going to really irk me when we play in that for no reason at West Ham, Villa and Palace.
  11. That doesn't give me any comfort.
  12. Looking at that away top again, sorry I just can't get away with that. I want a Newcastle United away shirt, not a fucking Saudi national shirt. Personally really uncomfortable about it. Change the crest to the normal colours at least. The fuck are Castore playing at, man.
  13. Pressure on Arsenal v us will be enormous as Spurs will likely win their next game on Sunday at home to Burnley.
  14. It's simple and effective. I like it, but can't unsee us just looking like the Saudi national team which I really am not a fan of.
  15. He also talks about Hickey as well, been big admirers of him and Raphinha for a while apparently.
  16. Like how Arsenal and Juventus wanted Bruno? (living in so much hope here )
  17. Raphinha Raphinha Raphinha Running down the wing To tune of Sit Down by James. Shamelessly pinched from Liverpool's chant for Salah.
  18. We need that number 6 in there. May change if we sign Paqueta but Bruno has been starved of the ball in the last 2 games against the top sides in the league due to a lack of defensive cover. Phillips, Kamara, Sangare et al are players in the mould we need. Then striker, winger and probably a CB. We won't get a player in every position we want in the summer, we'll likely gradually get them over the next 4 windows.
  19. Thinking about who to go for is so difficult. Some players out there like Raphinha if Leeds go down or Nunez are ones you'd think we could attract but they'll have offers from clubs in European competitions which may stump us. But then we were able to get Bruno when 18th. Tough one.
  20. I remember when we beat Brentford away 0-2 back in late February, he and the players stood applauding the away end and the camera cut to him standing behind all the staff and players on his own and he had a little chuckle to himself. Think he knew then and knows now that something special is brewing is here.
