  1. Missing this one as I'm back at uni. Back up for Villa though. Few signings in, 2-0, 3 points, we'll stay up. No clue if Duncan Ferguson will still be in charge either, hopefully he is. Beating these will drag them right into it alongside maybe Leeds and Brentford.
  2. Howe got today tactically spot on. Don't remember a clear cut Leeds chance. All subs were outstanding, has to be said. Manquillo, Longstaff and even Clark. Not a single foot wrong. Willock grew right into the game as it went on so hopefully this is the start of his season. Shelvey surprised me with how well he worked off the ball and his lack of attempting shit diagonals. ASM was frustrating but often made the right decisions, Willock should've finished his pass late on and he should've had a pen. Wood grafted but lack of quality is evident, his hold up play is inherently inconsistent. Anyway, superb result that we must build on. Get some signings in, beat Everton and we're cooking.
  3. He got that tactically spot on.
  4. Don't think this has been too bad. Raphinha is dangerous once he gets to the byline, like. Has happened a few times now.
  5. I'd take a point today. 3 points from safety with a better goal difference than 17th with a game in hand. 2 weeks break, last week of the window, Everton coming up.
  6. 16:33 onwards. Good watch and fair points made.
  7. What a fucking cunt that man is. Can't wait for the day he keels owa.

    Jesse Lingard

The fewm from all the yer das at ASM and Lingard dancing is well worth this deal imo.

    Diego Carlos

My thoughts too along with the fact that there's zero guarantees that we come back should we go down. That squad still needs demolition even if we do get relegated.

If he's Howe's number 1 centre half target (or number 2 given how Botman went) then I say just pay the 40m-60m it might take. Different scenarios but Liverpool in mid 2017-18 forked out £75m(?) for Van Dijk and eyebrows were raised at that at the time iirc. Now it looks a snip. If Diego Carlos has a similar sort of impact on our defence and in turn our results given how many points we've thrown away from winning positions, surely it's worth it?
  11. Decent watch. Talks about what it was like reporting on the takeover in the first 20 mins.
  12. 30m with incentives like 5m if we stay up and 5m on his performance like once he scores 10 goals is a fine deal. A lot for a kid whose played ~900 minutes of first team football like, but it's where we are and the likelihood is he'll be an upgrade on what we have.
  13. This might be the dodgy yellow for an Arsenal player. Xhaka. They're 1-4 up with 5 minutes left.
  14. Have a soft spot for him but if he's not going to play in a #10, which is a position we don't play with, then he shouldn't play at all. So I'd cash in tbh. No one's stumping up that fee, mind.
  15. They have tough games up until they play us. So maybe, if we can get our shit in order.
  16. I've no doubts that they're trying, and we all knew that January is a tough window to do business but that's the case in point. We're desperate, everyone knows we're loaded so they're going to try and fleece us for players they don't necessarily want to sell. But we need to pay the prices if we want to stay up, the squad is on its knees and needs help, desperately. If it takes €45m or €50m for Carlos and likewise for another CB, and the 20m-50m region for a striker, and we get another CM in plus Lingard, and we stay up, it'll be worth it. Because we'll have to rebuild the squad whatever happens at the end of this season, so we may as well start now. Pay the prices.
  17. Poorest I've seen Brentford play at their ground.
  18. Tielemans and the Leicester defence want shooting with shit for that. Absolute state. 2-1 up in the 94th minute and lose.
  19. I mean, if that last bit is true that's taking the piss a tad.

A Watford v Norwich draw with a Burnley defeat would do nicely this weekend, regardless of our result. Next game isn't until the 8th February.
  21. Skipp or Hojbjerg, who's a better bet for a yellow?

    Jesse Lingard

Would be superb business. Not just because of what he'll bring to the side, but because of how he'll get all the NUFC fathas livid with his celebrations and dancing.

The cynic in me says that that's bollocks come from the Sevilla side to get us to up our bid.
