Thinking back to our game against Arsenal, we were pretty honking. Second half especially. Did absolutely nothing of note with the ball and were ridiculously flat, which we never usually are in fixtures like that. Whitey.

Hate when we go away from a 4-3-3 the majority of the time tbh. Feels like if it happens it’s to shoehorn Burn in if Hall’s fit.

Think the novelty of being in the CL has worn off, was always going to eventually. Mix in the lack of real jeopardy with the new format and it being a game we’re favourites to win and it was always going to be a bit flat imo. I see that switching Local Hero and Blaydon Races around did absolutely fuck all either for the atmosphere or the speed in which it is sung.

Remembering back it felt good being able to vent at how shit the system is to someone at the club regardless of how much of a ticky box it exercise it is. Spoke to the supporter liaison officer, Matt Willis, after the event finished and he fully understood the craic and my own frustrations with the 23-24 100% ballot for home games system. He was one of the ones who suggested part ballot and part general sale as well. Really good bloke like, also know he followed us home and away on the regular before working for the cloob.

I find it really difficult to believe that the players have asked for it tbh. Even in the video of Elanga’s first day here, in the car from the airport to the training ground he says ‘the loud music they play before the game got me, got into my head’. I strongly, strongly doubt he’s on about the awful version of Blaydon Races. (in before someone goes ‘must still be getting into his head huh huh huh’)

Absolutely not a fan of this at all. That version of Blaydon Races they play is horrific. Hope this changes back asap personally.
