Correct. In all competitions we've lost 9 home games under Howe. Man City 2x Liverpool 3x Arsenal 1x Forest 1x Cambridge Utd 1x ( ) Dortmund 1x Milan 1x

Got mine, 2 in my usual East Stand block. But as has been mentioned there'll be touts and probably away fans all over it. Highest queue spot was 57k. Don't think it's ever that high for non big 6 fixtures.

Canny, aye.

Was admittedly full of drink of just back in the pub post match when I posted that so may be being harsh. We had total control of the game yesterday, thought we had won the midfield battle and the only way they were going to score especially second half would've been from our mistake. Just had a feeling that Gordon wasn't going to put that pen away as soon as he stepped up. Wanted to see Schär take it but hindsight and all that. Felt we had plenty crossing opportunities but no one to aim for, which is a bit confusing when we have a 6'4 striker sat on the bench. If he's not ready for matches like that, why did we sign him and why is he on the bench at all? I just didn't think we created many chances. When did we other than when Gordon skied that shot from the angle second half? When did we work Pickford? I can't remember us doing so, but I probably need to watch the match back again when I get in.

We're not good enough to break teams that sit deep down, especially away from home. Not good enough. Just isn't.

Had malaise between the fans and the board grown unsustainable by the time McFaul got the sack? Me dad reckons he could've turned it around as we were usually slow starters under him. Then again, had we not gone down in 1989, no Keegan.

Was it 45 seconds or something before we were losing?

We've had some awful days there. Seemed to me we'd always serve up our worst performance of the season in this fixture 2011-2016. There and St. Mary's. The 1-4 in April 2023 though is one of my favourite ever Newcastle games I've been to. Was on the drink in Liverpool with my Everton mate from 2pm and was absolutely honking during the first half*. Barely remember a thing of it. Second half was unreal though. *same plan with the same lad tomorrow so hopefully a similar result.

Best experience I've had following us, I reckon. Will never forget the ground being almost full and the atmosphere within 20 minutes before kick off whilst the warm ups were still going on. And this game was also the first one the ballot gods gave me as a success. And the seat they gave wasn't bad either.

Got a ticket for this, now. All that pestering to see Gordon drop a 2/10 and us to lose 2-0.
-
Unsuccessful for Assna as well. 1/6. I've accepted that there'll be far more failures than successes this season due to the split of available seats between ballot and general sale. I rather selfishly prefer this season's system though.

Saw Isak dribble past 5 of their players right in front of me in my last trip to Goodison in that hilarious 1-4 game. If I'm there our chances go up that we'll win. Which is why someone should help me get a ticket imo.

Any spares for Saturday going? Please.

A very positive change.

Also still after a ticket for this and will be up to Friday night, so please. Anyone. Been asking all over for weeks

Through to the next round, they never really troubled, but that was an awful watch, like. Seem to struggle to create chances against anyone.
-
Not since his first start. We did after he signed and before he first started, in March 2022.

Regarding the atmosphere, I think our rise in stature, somewhat success on the pitch coincides with a decline in atmosphere for most games as it would with pretty much any club. I say that because most games under Howe in 2021-22 when we were fighting to stay up were class. Man Utd, Everton, Arsenal are in my (limited) top 10 atmospheres I can remember at SJP. Even matches like Man City; remember being proud as owt seeing the Gallowgate waving flags and keep going when 0-3 and 0-4 down. Acoustics of the ground don't help but that could be mitigated by the return of a L7 radgie section that used to exist. Can't imagine it will though.

Would be an honor to sit alongside Alex Hurst and Charlotte Robson.

What's that been disallowed for?

Aye, sitting in the Leazes is a dreadful experience. Mine was anyway. Was 2 rows above the highest row of the Wings section for the Bournemouth home game last season, and all you hear is the away support for 90 minutes, no one else nearby trying to get any songs going. Am aware that you'll obviously hear away fans more the closer you sit to them but it was just the feeling of the ground being utterly outsung by 1200 fans. Would rather not go to a match than sit there again. And that's sad, the Leazes is where my fatha would stand when he started going in the 70s as it was that stand that was the stand until it got demolished ahead of being rebuilt in '78.
