  1. Have you heard of someone called Mike Ashley? Read the second sentence of my post again. Its solely because Bruce won't be sacked, not that he wouldn't be offered it by uncle Mike.
  2. Nile Ranger back at Southend.
  3. Think Pardew is finished at PL level after that WBA stint tbh. Be amazed if a club hires him. Even us tbh as I can't see Bruce getting the P45 that he deserves.
  4. Probably sad and wrong as fuck here but seeing the sheer transformation in the club from between 1989 and 1991 to 1992 and 1997 and again from mediocrity between 97 and 2000 to Champions League football and outside contenders for the title from 01 to 04 makes me believe that this club is not like any other just like Keegan said in that Athletic article. If we get taken over and everyone pulls in the same direction, there's no reason for this club not to spoil the 'big 6' party. We've done it on a lesser scale in the 90s and early 00s so there's no reason why we can't again. Geez, look at that, Keegan inspiring someone who wasn't even conceived for the years he was manager. What a bloke.
  5. Wish Daniel Mann did Premier League games, he's class imo.
  6. Aye, Champion is underrated. That commentator who mainly does Championship (did a few games for us in the last Championship season) is underrated too, I think his name is Daniel Mann? Tyler is shite now and Drury is overrated as fuck imo.
  7. From .com. The resumption of international football in March brings with it renewed fears of COVID transmission - and contingencies in order to try and limit that. Amongst that is a FIFA exemption rule that allows clubs to prevent players from honouring national team call-ups, if they would then be subject to an extended period of quarantine on their return. Amongst a clutch of Premier League players facing the situation is Miguel Almiron, with Paraguay scheduled to play World Cup qualifies away to Chile and at home to Colombia in late March. Both countries are on the UK Government "red list" of countries that require a 10 night quarantine to be observed - with no exemption for elite sports. The issue has been raised among PL clubs with the proposal of a joint move that would see them all invoke the regulation. Were Miggy to link up with Paraguay though, he'd potentially miss our first two games after the international break: away to Burnley and home to Spurs. PS: The situation regarding other PL players travelling for internationals is less clear and complicated by various European countries setting different parameters - a situation that has seen European club competitions moving some games to alternative venues this week. Newcastle players potentially leaving the UK on international duty in late March include Jamal Lewis (to Italy), Ciaran Clark & Jeff Hendrick (to Serbia), (Emile Krafth to Sweden & Kosovo), Ryan Fraser (to Israel) and Martin Dubravka (to Cyprus & Slovakia).
  8. Yeah same. Previous seasons I always maintained that we'd stay up due to the ability of Benitez as a manager. Think this time its because of Fulham's form and their run in after the weekend, which is depressing. Here's their remaining games and ours Fulham Sheff Utd (h) Palace (a) Liverpool (a) Man City (h) Leeds (h) Villa (a) Wolves (h) Arsenal (a) Spurs (h) (date tbc) Chelsea (a) Burnley (h) Southampton (a) Man Utd (a) Newcastle (h) Newcastle Man Utd (a) Wolves (h) West Brom (a) Aston Villa (h) Brighton (a) Spurs (h) Burnley (a) West Ham (h) Liverpool (a) Arsenal (h) Leicester (a) Man City (h) Sheff Utd (h) Fulham (a) I've done both generous and harsh predictions for our games and I'm yet to have us picking up fewer than 12 points, which will more than likely see us safe. Probably blind optimism like.
  9. Probably not, as was said on Sky they have to get in the form of a team that'll finish 10th or 11th after having only won 3 games all season. They don't get beat often but they don't win often enough.
  10. Huge pressure on our run of games after Sunday, especially Wolves and West Brom. Just has to be 6 points.
  11. Was that not away at Stoke? Could’ve sworn he did it at Turf Moor, might be wrong though. He might've done, but I vividly remember this and how shit it was. https://www.nufc.com/html/2015-16html/2016-03-02stoke-a.html
  12. Always thought that the likes of him and Gerrard are the kind of ex player that would have young players playing for them due to what they've achieved. Tactically they should be okay for lower leagues initially having both worked under some of the greatest managers. That set piece Derby scored at the weekend is more inventive than anything we've done this season.
  13. Would 1990-91 and 1991-92 prior to Keegan be the worst the club's been at? Obviously you could suggest now but there might not be a Newcastle United FC if we hadn't have stayed up in 92. Late 70s and early 80s again prior to Keegan must have been awful too?
  14. 7pm kick off on a Sunday for a Keegan return, mental.
  15. No idea why I'm awake this late/early and trying to translate that but from my limited Spanish what I can gather is along the lines of "Not one fucking large spell of possession. Fucking hell(?). Come on!" "Calm down...(?)" Along with a few more expletives. (Can hear madre, probably puta madre which means motherfucker, but not sure) "We are suffering, its been like this for the last five minutes". "We are running like crazy." Neesy or VI could probably correct me mind. I'm tired.
  16. His patter is just funny at this point, been laughing at the idea of his usual horseshit tropes are lines in some garbage song played at a primary school disco. "Slide to the left, slide to the right, pull your socks up, roll your sleeves up, dust yourself down...now walk through the door! And go again!" So bored of this shit. Just walk away you rancid prick.
  17. Aye, Yedlin wasn't great but selling him was a braindead decision. Also why you calling him Cheese Slice?
  18. We've regressed so much defensively from 2 years ago it's painful. Almost as painful as watching Krafth defend.
