No one arsed to run ahead of the ball when on the attack. So bad.
-
Aye, let him in on his stronger foot. Hopefully that's Darlow dropped now.
-
Still going on about the COVID outbreak
-
Him (who will inevitably come on) and Sean Longstaff who has been woeful ahead of Matty Longstaff and Anderson on the bench even though we're not loaning the latter two out. Atrocious management.
-
Why can't he just start Dubravka man what's he waiting for, for Darlow to cost us a game? The rancid fat cunt
-
Aye, what the fuck? If Bruce is sacked because it looks like we're going down and someone else keeps us up from that position then Bruce deserves credit for the surge to safety instead of the actual person who oversaw and upturn in performances and results? Honestly what the actual fuck

It doesn't matter who the manager is under Ashley. It will always be shit. Only difference this time in regards to binning Bruce is he is so shit that anyone out there is an upgrade and the bounce we'd get would probably see us safe. And the main reason to stay up is hope for this takeover bollocks. If that wasn't there, this would be hell on earth. But all in all, it genuinely doesn't matter who's in charge. It's the Ashley status quo and always will be until he sells or dies.

5. Will go up significantly if we don't get at least 4 points from Wolves and West Brom.

Managed 7 seconds of that. I hope she was bullied at school.

Just heard that before sending the players out Ancelotti just played this in the changing room.

I was 8 for the 93 season. My first memories of NUFC I think, not being able to see them in D1 the year before. Memories are fleeting but I absolutely remember Allen's swinging arm celebrations. Seems like he scored every time he played. Dont think he finished the season though. 94/95 is the first full season I remember. I can still feel the excitement, the expectation, the achievement of being in Europe. I was only 9 and it totally consumed me. It was everything. The idea of coming up to the Premier League, first time in the top league since 1989, nothing can stop us but there's no real expectations is just both alien and phenomenal to me. Some of the scorelines that we won by that season are frankly ridiculous. Cole and Beardsley up front, over 60 goals between the two of them, just fucking hell. Someone make a time machine pls.

Would give anything to have experienced that season. Posted about it before, if I experience anything remotely similar to 1993-94 I'll die a very happy Newcastle supporter.

Best player of the Ashley era?
-
Edwards is genuinely such a fucking arsehole. Rancid Tory cunt. Hope we get taken over, his best mate is jettisoned asap and he's banned from covering NUFC. Or MBS invites him to an embassy. Or both. Prick.

I don't know enough about Allegri's teams, but I wouldn't begrudge anyone wanting to see a new manager come in if best case scenario happens re: takeover rather than trying to rekindle the past. Me, I just want to be tenth and see Rafa place his glasses away in his top pocket every few weeks. I'd be a happy Newcastle fan They're just effective tbh, they win things. He's also proven he can build and rebuild a squad which as another reason he appeals to me. Will be gutted if ends up at a different PL club. And I'd be dead chuffed if Rafa came back too, love the bloke and he clearly had a vision for this football club. Just prefer the idea of Allegri purely just because curiosity and the thought that you shouldn't go back. There's still thick bell ends amongst our fan base (nevermind the wider national picture) that buy the thought that he played shit boring anti football and a new name would probably get the entire fanbase united behind one guy. That may make Rafa appeal more to some like, proper siege mentality.

Was at both. Palace was the worst experience I've had following NUFC. Looking back the pathetic performance at Villa may be worse due to the implications it had but, aye. That Bournemouth home game was the first time in years a SJP crowd had made a relatively toxic atmosphere against a manager, probably was as bad as Allardyce when Liverpool did us 0-3.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)
HaydnNUFC replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
Aye, mental that he isn't starting. He way well be our best keeper in the PL era but he's being kept out because Darlow's made a few saves. I know that may sound harsh on Darlow but even Rob Elliot had a season like he's having in 2015/16: few good performances, kept us in games and won us points almost on his own but prone to an absolute brainfart and no where near our best keeper. -
That one where we were 2-0 up under Rafa hurt the most. Aye. Remember a blatant handball by Ashley Young in the box in first half at 0-2 not being given, if we go 0-3 up we win that.
-
Standard Man Utd away defeat. Took the lead in the last 3 trips before being rolled over, will go for 4-1 again.

https://theathletic.com/2391431/2021/02/17/does-allegri-still-appeal-to-big-clubs/ Great read. Would love him here should a good result from this arbitration bollocks comes and we have new owners, maybe even more so than Rafa.
