You'd think that TF would be able to afford to get someone on with decent opinions after they were charging £57 for a bus to Blackburn away.

Nah, the one at the top of Pilgrim Street/bottom of Northumberland Street. Where the new HMRC(?) offices are being built. I've been to the one on the Gateshead side, assuming you mean By The River Brewing Co. Don't mind it there.

Aye, was a plastic cup. Really sturdy like, if you threw it at someone's head it'd have done some damage. The pint itself was just okay. But I reckon I'll only ever go in that Stack early afternoon-ish on a non matchday or through the week for some bait during or after graft if its open. Would likewise much rather stay at my usual matchday spots. I never really liked the old Stack at the bottom of Northumberland Street tbph. Enormous queues to get in especially on a Saturday, pricey bait, overpriced pints in plastic and was seemingly full of Geordie Shore wannabes to the point where it felt like a scrap could kick off at any minute. Nicht für mich.

Already had one. Thought it was average. Had a look around on Thursday. Plastic cups, slightly overpriced scran when you have cheaper, better alternatives in walking distance. I'll not be a regular. Definitely not on a matchday.

Thought that. Even against Forest 2 years back; play off winners at home like today. Night and day compared to today in terms of level of performance. A little vexing.

Good result given the circumstances of the game and although I would've probably taken a point after the sending off I certainly wouldn't have done at half time after realising just how poor of a side they were. They really aren't a good side. Which makes the (limited sample of) performance of the first 25 minutes a bit more galling. What did people think of Gordon's performance btw? Many around me thought he didn't look interested.

Fulham's passing has been lifting at times.
-
The fuck was Pereira booked for?
-
Fully agree, but we'd be a Schär injury away from a bit of a nightmare. In an ideal world we'll get both.
-
And nightmares of when we equalised in stoppage time and proceeded to lose 3-1.
-
Just fuck off.

Someone utter shit at home, please.

No fan should be giving any player shit inside the ground or to them personally off the pitch. Anyone who does is a bell end of the highest order so it'd he outrageously lifting if he does get flak. I'd like Almiron replaced and have done for a while. He brings an engine and work rate but little attacking output; he had the same number of PL goal involvements last season as Dan Burn. Jacob Murphy got 1 more assist than him last season (7) than he's managed in his 5 and half years at the club (6). His numbers before and after his purple patch suggest there is little chance that he replicates it. Great servant to the club but he needs upgrading/moving on. He's a 30 year old who'll turn 31 this season with 2 years left on his contract. We'd do well to get north of about £10m-£12m for him imo.

Their fans are odd, mind. Self appointed sanctimonious arbiters of good taste in PL football all the while never amounting to anything in their history bar a 3rd place finish in 1991. The way they went on about Pardew, flinging coins at Coloccini, that odious meff TalkCPFC or whatever he's called on the app inspired by a bird, the recent online arrogance because they won a few games at the end of last season. And the games against them are almost always dull as fuck. Not for me, Jeff.

Same. We last signed a recognised RW 7 years ago, man.

Elias Sorensen up top for Portsmouth. Wew.

You know me far, far too well.

Feels like it's been a bit of an odd window all round. We're 8 days away from the season starting and have made no signing that improves the first XI yet. If I was told that after the final game at Brentford last season I'd have been absewlewtly fewmin. But it feels like outside of West Ham, Chelsea and Villa, no one in the PL has made any real significant signings yet also. At least to me anyway, I try to avoid Twitter and football transfer news given how toxic it is at the best of times so may be wrong. Regardless, if we can get Guehi in (whom I don't really think is worth ~£65m personally especially with 2 years left on his deal, got to trust the club that it doesn't blow a big PSR sized hole in us if comes in) plus a top quality RW I'll be delighted. Regarding the latter, we signed Isak on 26 August, after the 3rd game of the season. Plenty of time to go and no need to panic. Yet.
