Think Allegri said a few weeks back his future lies abroad: I think he'll leave Juve at the end of the season Really? Could you post a link if there is one? Always thought he'd have another go at the CL, he said after Real stuffed them in the final that he thought about leaving, but after what happened in Madrid a couple weeks ago I think he'll want one last go at it. Failure to retain the scudetto will be a disaster and I can see him leaving if they blow it somehow.

Just £80m will do, there's £120m from TV cash. Why does it have to be so fucking difficult, man. Fucking Ashley man, god sake. Those quotes. That picture. Rafa.

Tuchel or Jardim imo. Allegri would only be in the running if Juve fail to win the title this season imo.

David Luiz loves the Toon, who would've thought.

I don't think it's extreme as the Hegelian dialectal synthesis a few have came to in some posts over the course of the season: no takeover equating to Rafa leaving. The word compete everyone saw in most of his interviews in the summer, his views on the season and future when away on the training camp in Spain. He wants the necessary funds to compete with your Burnleys, your Leicesters, your Evertons and your Bournemouths of the league. We've been able to do just that from January but with players who aren't ours; the total of money these players would cost is up for debate. But a budget of similar to what McClaren was given, £50m-£80m which the club has already received or is about to receive via the windfall of TV money would allow us to compete with those clubs and most likely better them, I think most would agree on that. How far the club can go is just whether Rafa is allowed that amount of money. Caulkin put it beautifully here as he always does: No one is expecting it, that "Newcastle [Ashley] would have the wit to recognise what they have at their fingertips". Read the word that Caulkin put just before that. Hope. That is what kills with NUFC.

Imagine. 1 down Just need them to lose to Stoke, draw with Brighton, lose to Arsenal & draw with Bournemouth ..while we draw with Spurs, beat Everton, beat West Brom, beat Watford & beat Chelsea Hey, I'm confident in us against almost anyone atm. Only game that's a bit of a write off is Spurs away but I fancy us in the rest. Burnley will pick up 5 points at the very least from those you'd think. Still, it's a nice pipe dream to have.

Second seasons back have been 3rd and 5th. Next season? Top 6, one of the cups. 6th in 95. Can't even blame autocorrect on that. Terrible.

4-2 Napoli and Crotone the far better side here. Fuck me.
-
Play each other? Aye. Think it'll be a much better spectacle if Napoli score first tbh. If Juve score first they'll just win 1-0.
-
Naff stuff from Juve this. Poor touches, sideways and backwards shite.
-
If these results hold Sunday night will be interesting.
-
Dybala has been piss poor here. Will probably go and score or assist now I've posted that though.
-
What a goal for Crotone.
-
Napoli equalised just before half time, didn't even notice.
-
Napoli losing at home to Udinese. Juve winning at Crotone. Shame that if it ends those scorelines, be a bit crap if the game between them on Sunday night is a bit of a dead rubber.

what the hell

I assume it's scheduled for the week after FA Cup 3rd round weekend? Should just have a midweek game in August to make up for it. This for me is mainly because I hate the fact that you play 3 or 4 games in August before an international break, and then again in September and October. The start of a season is very stop-start.

Would love to know about their source. They had no idea that allowing 15,000 Celtic fans to a friendly would result in farce but they’re all over this for some reason. How in any way could any of our lot have bought tickets for an away end that sold out to Wolves season ticket holders? The whole thing and Sky's pushing of it has been bizarre. Local press need to look into it as it's just utter lies.

Nah, they're the same level of tinpot-ness for me. Grateful that they're never even contemplated at SJP.
