Wearing the dark blue away kit for no reason.

Graham Fenton starting for them?

31' We are forced into an early change as Joe Willock can no longer continue. Get well soon, Joe. ? [1-0] #BLBNEW #NUFC

Few months late to answering this, but Shelvey against Leeds at Elland Road by far for me.

Everton (H) now 2nd April. 19:30 kick off. Spurs (H) now the early kick off. Back to back home early kick offs. Lifting.

In games like Saturday, for me aye. A 5-4-1/5-2-3. It's negative but it won't get walked through as much the current system does with the current players available. He hasn't been averse to going to that either, Chelsea away in 21-22 when we were robbed, when we've went to it in games this season. Probably wouldn't do it at home, mind. Then again, we haven't beat a side that hasn't gone down to 10 men at home for almost 3 months. Even still, he almost left it too late at Villa; the change wasn't going to be made until their 2nd goal was marginally disallowed. It was clear as day that Livramento had to come on to shut down Bailey, that 2nd Villa goal stands and I'm not sure we win that match.

2017-18 we went on a run of 4 wins in 24 and didn't win a home league match for almost 4 months. Some shocking performances and results in that run as well, 0-3 at home to Watford, the performance in losing 0-1 at home to Allardyce's Everton, 0-0 at home to Brighton. 2018-19 we didn't win until November as you say, didn't win in the first 10 games and lost every home match in that 10. Likewise some really grim afternoons before Christmas that season as well. It hasn't got as bad as that yet but the showing on Saturday, away at Spurs, against Forest at home, away at Luton have run some of the awful afternoons 5-6 years ago in isolation close. But I have faith that Howe will turn it around just as I had in Benitez having it under control back then. I do think though that Howe is stubbornly married to this current system. Admirable in a way but he's on the record in his press conference yesterday saying the system we play is not the issue. If the current players aren't good enough to play the system then surely the system needs tweaking or altered until the players that are good enough come back? Every single side we've played since we beat Man Utd in December have played through us at will. It's been my only serious, level headed worry about Howe this season.

That's not the beat boxing Spiderman is it? Can't be.

Agree, O Fortuna needs binning. As does that Zulu war drum chant version of Blaydon Races. And the PA guy, a bit of me dies every time he reads the teams out ahead of kick off and he says "Brunooooo".

Local Hero just reminds me of up here. Home. Would listen to it with my headphones on whenever I'd feel homesick at uni like a tragic tosser. That and The Dying Light by Sam Fender give the same vibe to myself.

The worst 1st half PL display offensively since Southampton away under Pardew in 2013-14. Yikes.
-
That midfield 3 of ours is slow, ineffective and vulnerable to the press. Knocking it down to 2 CMs and going 5-4-1 or a version of it is the only suggestion for an alternative given the lack of personnel, but we're getting played through by every single side we play.

The bloke is just not good enough.

Longstaff, fucking hell. Too slow. Not good enough.

No idea what on earth the plan is or was here.

The current top 3 to come up ideally for me.

Everyone at the away ticket workshop was seemingly on the same page that these checks, or at least the way that they're done, is utterly fucking lifting. That was months ago. 2 and a half years in and am still yet to see the cruciality of fan engagement that they claim(ed).
-
Good thread. Absolute joke.
-
Yep. The club claim to do this at every workshop; having "all fans represented" even if issues do not directly affect them as much as it does other fans. There'll be fans from the Supporters Advisory Board, international fans et al all at the match atmosphere one next month just as there was last night and there probably was at the away fan one a few months ago. You had a table full of gadgies who said they liked the ballot and suggested that entrance to STACK on a matchday when it opens could be done by a ballot, ffs. It's likely all just lip service and a ticky box exercise but it did feel canny to voice my own experiences and issues with the system directly to someone at the club. Whether it goes anywhere, who knows.
-
More than likely. The club claimed before the main discussion that they tried to get a 'mix of fans' at these workshops. Obviously on my table that was clearly not the case, unsure what it was like on other tables.
