  1. Fuck sake. Utterly sick to death of that. It's Howe's biggest flaw; this fascination with only signing players from other PL clubs. The most expensive market there is. Being keen on Calvert-Lewin ahead of Isak, being allegedly sceptical about Bruno, allegedly saying no to Paqueta, his comments on Solanke, links to McTominay, Billing, Kelly et al. Smoke and fire. The top clubs, which we want to become one of, hardly ever shop in the PL market. The fees and wages are over inflated for the level of ability you get. You get quoted £50m for Onana, you'll get quoted between £40m-£60m for Solanke. We got Bruno for £39m.
  2. As much of a cunt he is Bruce was right about Hope, like.
  3. Same. Anything between £15m-£30m would probably be 'good' but what he brings on and off the field can't be replaced. Been an outstanding de facto captain and one of the best RBs in Europe the last 18 months. However, a £20m fee goes straight onto the books but can spread across incoming transfers' contract lengths. Means we could bring 2 £50m players on 5 year contracts provided the first installment for both is £10m. I think?
  4. Feel incredibly similar. Not necessarily a Bayern player but a player that improves the first XI. We have a gaping hole in midfield week after week, may be selling our most creative player. So we'll still need a midfielder if this was to happen but on top of that our right hand side will be even more ineffective offensively than it already is.
  5. I agree and see that side of it but that's only if it's a sale. Ashby hasn't returned from Swansea btw. If Trippier does leave however that means we have zero creativity from the right hand side.
  6. If we got a fee of £15m-£25m I could see the logic given his age, but if its a loan it doesn't benefit us at all. Unless he wants out of course. Harry Kane and Eric Dier's families being over there eliminate any homesick feelings for his missus.
  7. Doesn't make sense. At all.
  8. Got a few full matches I found on YouTube that I've saved in a Google doc, mainly for when I make match threads. Only a handful as I use highlights mainly. 1993-94 1995-96 None from 1994-95 or 1996-97 outside of highlights. Your best bet is probably Footballia, they have a few I think.
  9. How on earth would we benefit from loaning out the captain, most creative outlet, only creative outlet on the right hand side and probably the most important player in the system we play? Unless we get Kimmich the other way, which won't happen, it makes zero sense.
  10. No idea, but that was funny.

    Joelinton

Isak imo. A replacement for him who may be better would definitely cost north of £100m (the likes of Osimhen maybe) and those players aren't going to leave for a club not in Europe.
  12. Must've got a load of our players wearing them; clad in the 1998-99 away shirt. Shag iz.
  13. Gordon also. https://www.instagram.com/p/C2KXq-toxkC/?igsh=MWlqN3g1cHVzZjlxbg==
  14. Press play on this, fast forward to 2:06:00 and enjoy. @r0cafella
  15. Not yet unfortunately but this tweet should give the gist.
  16. It is yeah, forgot he was booked on Saturday.
  17. Genuinely wish I was dead.
  18. I agree with Phillips not making sense as a transfer if Man City are insisting on an obligation. Mind, we're a Bruno injury away from the season being a total write off if it isn't one already. Peak that he's 2 cards away from 2 consecutive defeats for us a 2 game ban anyway.

    On this day...

Personally always felt he was; tactical improvements were there to see but too many individuals who were starting games in that run December-January were just not good enough at PL level and were costing us with ridiculous individual errors; Clark, Shelvey to an extent, Fernandez, Ritchie. Lascelles hopelessly out of form, Dummett getting game time. Was clear that we just needed good enough personnel in the windlw to execute what he was trying to do which we ended up getting; a focal point up top in Wood with Wilson being out, upgrades in defence with Burn, Targett and Trippier plus the quality in midfield of Bruno. Alas, the upturn that followed.

    On this day...

The Howe, Relegationometer and Benitez threads after that game are great reads.
  21. Unsure if it's the TV mics but the atmosphere is abysmal.
