  1. A lack of scrutiny in the media is not bizarre.
  2. If Ashley loses money, he retains other perks. Most likely his preferred outcome.
  3. A night with Bonnie Langford...nearly broke her back. You would though - just out of curiosity. You wouldn't if you watched Just William.
  4. Greg is correct with regards to the FA, however, there’s a decision called Aga Khan which opened the scope on judicial review of bodies such as the premier league We might need the Aga Khan, Premier League are looking very weak over this. I really hope If this gets blocked there’s a massive backlash from the fanbase and we f#%k the premier league off. NUFC fans don't really do massive backlash. Pie boycoutt at half time ? That would only hurt Sodexo.
  5. At the very least, if this is rejected, A certain hairy-handed hombre should be looking for a new identity.
  6. It’s Thursday mate And they say an Elephant never forgets ? He simply never forgot it was Wednesday. Now he knows it's Thursday he won't forget that. We'll have to tell him tomorrow (and not before) that it's Friday.
  7. I'll be amazed if he knows we have a match! He's completely washed his grubby hands with us! He washed his grubby hands with Rangers. Didn't stop him trying to exploit them in every way he could. If there is an opportunity to be a snide cunt, he dreamt about it the night before the morning it manifested.
  8. Well we know what that means. "Fuck it. If there's money to be had, we'll change the fucking laws". It's happening.
  9. hadn't realised Ashley had killed a man or ran an illegal streaming service. Neither have the PIF directors, the Reubens, or Staveley. Although Amanada is up in court so count vouch 100% for her, but I don't think she has. PIF directors have absolutely killed thousands of people If that's the case, then surely the PL officials would have ruled them unsuitable owners and directors straight off the bat. Well it is the case, but the PL probably don't really care about that, they clearly do care that Saudi Arabia has been stealing their product from them. They have their priorities right then. Their remit is to run the football league, not override our govt and decide who is and isn't personally responsible for deaths of thousands. Trump and Boris to this day haven't fingered MBS personally, far as I know he blew it off with some bull about bodyguards acting without his permission and Trump and Boris lapped it up readily. In fact wouldn't surprise me if they didn't suggest it in a memo. Ok so let's just go through what you've said here: 1. PIF directors haven't killed anyone 2. Well if they had killed anyone then the PL would have dismissed their case straight away. 3. The PL don't care about them killing people, they have their priorities right All of them are right actually. Because if MBS is the name you are going to put to it, he hasn't actually killed anyone. Someone else might have done it on his behest, but that's not for the PL to decide, so they have got their priorities right. How are they right? Number 2 and 3 contradict each other Did Hitler not kill anyone either then? All that has been answered in the post you replied to. The only new point you brought up was Hitler, and the decision was taken at govt level that he was a murderer and that is why all sporting relations were stopped with Germany. If you want to draw a comparison, we've just had a govt directive which appears to support the investment from the Saudis in NUFC. Does that mean we are aiding and abetting a murderous regime right at the very top level? Yes it does Then it must be ok. Do you agree with everything the British government do? Not at all...just the stuff which gets us rid of a cunt of an owner and gets us new ones who will want to compete for honours. A shockingly biased Newcastle viewpoint I admit, but there it is. Success is not their mission, it's their method.
  10. Last time she was reminding me of May Carlton. Now she's got a touch of the Kim Wexlers.
  11. It’s what they’ve always done. That’s actually what I’m looking forward to most if this goes through. The potential lack of drama. I honestly can't see there will be any less drama if it goes through, if anything the media will be gunning for us harder if we start catching up on their beloved teams and the scrutiny is going to go through the roof Maybe our new owners will have a novel way of dealing with bad press.
  12. They were clickbait before clickbait existed. Front page headlines almost never related to the story within. The internet just gives them unlimited front pages.
  13. Best outcome for the Saudis is to be rejected then win a legal battle. A global announcement that a court finds them to be thoroughly decent, is exactly the kind of thing they seek from this investment. They might not even need to buy us after all.
  14. Maybe, as director of QPR, he is trying to force the hand of all the other interested parties.
  15. I'd still be happy with an ordinary owner with the vision to build a football institution. Just not Kenyon.
  16. I'm sure there is legal ground to reject, but there are economical reasons as to why they don't want to.
  17. Just a little chink about it might be because Ashley has to sell, as he's losing money in all his other businesses, maybe ? I don't think he ever really wanted to sell before the pandemic, as he was making too much money of us, maybe there was interest but they knew he would just muck them about. Or as you say, How utterly convenient Isn't the club the one thing he's guaranteed an income from? Obviously, not guaranteed at this point, We still might not even get to the end of this season, if the virus peaks again.
  18. I'm not really having a dig at him. I'm saying exactly what you said, I'm just using it as a yardstick for the media in general.
