Had a combination of the best betting evening in a few years and also the worst ever. Best as I won about 850 quid across multiple bets Worst as I missed out on a crazy accumulator by one goal in the Jong PSV - NEC Breda game (had SPAL -1, Fenerbache -1, Arsenal -1, Hamburger -1, AC Milan -1 and over 2,5 goals in Jong Utrecht - Jong Ajax). That goal would have yielded 2200 quid.

My thoughts exactly. Seems like a big part of the fanbase has stuck with their initial stance after PIF publically pulled out in the hope of getting some kind of bragging rights when the saga concludes. You dont get bragging rights for toxic negativity or irrational exuberance... There have been so many twists and turns to this saga that it should be impossible to be so categorically confident on any of the potential outcomes. Just be cautiously optimistic like the majority of the fanbase and stop arguing over any small development. Its tiresome and embarrassing.

Pardew for me. He had the best players to work with, but for some fucked up reason he decided to switch things around and settling on whatever yielded the worst results. For example going from an attacking 4-3-3 to a slow predictable 4-4-2 (playing Sissoko/Gosling/Gouffran/Cisse on the wings instead of HBA etc). I was always so disappointed to see the line-ups before games as there was so much potential going to waste. He was also content with micro-budgets every transfer window as he knew he could use that as an excuse down the line. This, in a period where player prices were almost doubling every year. Clubs who invested heavily in that period could really go to the next level, but we were left with players like Amalfitiano and loanees.

There are probably 50 000+ players who only care about getting the top score for each round, either by creating a new team so they can bench boost / 3x captain or by taking hits to create a new team. Its fkin annoying as youll only rarely see the top score of a "real" team
