  1. Feel indifferent about getting him to be honest. Won't be too upset either way. Tough one with Wilson, love him and would take him as our main striker for next season but you just can't rely on him for 30+ league games.
  2. We won't have all ex Burnley players? Pope and McNeil be two good signings for our squad - arguably Burnley's best two players. Wood won't play much next season.
  3. McNeil not very popular here but he's a good player with age/potential well on his side. Keeps the ball well and has excellent delivery - just unfortunate he played in a defend first mindset at Burnley. If Howe wants him i'd be more than happy to sign him.
  4. With the fixtures out, the game will probably start leaking prices and then re-open within the next week or so. Liverpool and City look bankers as usual, especially given kind fixtures to open. I'll probably have Wilson up top, hopefully price drops this season due to missing so much of last. https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/5cwev7
  5. Pope for 10mil is a no brainer.
  6. Sense of urgency in here as though we play first game this weekend, relax! Fixtures aren't even out yet.

    Joelinton

Wish he did this while at #9, using the goal as the target
  8. Ornstein is the main man. Sky's Pete Graves and Downie do seem to only tweet transfer stuff now when its concrete. Anything from Italy/France take with a pinch of salt. Burnsie just take the worlds salt and block.

    Joelinton

He's like a Rafa Mo Diame on steds. Love the man
  10. Agree. All 3 'ok' but not for where we want to be. Expect 2 out the 3 to stay in the squad next season but barely feature in the league.

    Fixtures (2022/23)

Points on the board always. Would make the bigger games feel 'bigger' if we're around the top 8
  12. Waiting out for Milans offer before making a final decision is very wise from him/his agent. The club could agree a price with both us and Milan but the current waiting game will see him get the max salary he possibly can - pretty sure we'd offer him more £ but Milan have UCL and arguably the better lifestyle. Also relaxed about it, enjoying being in the mix for this calibre of player! I saw Sheyi Ojo got released from Liverpool today - Rafa couldn't get Mike to loan him just a few years ago.
  13. Ashworth loaned Sanchez out to Forest Green and Rochdale and was then responsible for bringing him into Brighton's first team picture. Trust he'll find us someone suitable if he doesn't fancy Henderson.
  14. Such a likeable player. I'm even looking forward to channel flicking, noticing Norwich are live on sky and tuning in to see how Hayden is getting on. Wish nothing but the best for him.
  15. Would love him here. Be a massive fan favourite as he's that perfect mix of ability and hard work.
  16. Like both players but can't see either coming here. Don't think they match the intensity style Howe wants?
  17. This. If we'd signed Krafth, Joelinton, Schar and Jacob Murphy (as a squad player) in January everyone would have been going mental at the club. Howe coached these lads into good premier league players who went on to win 12/19 premier league games in the 2nd half of the season. Howe and his coaching team are the gold.

    Twitter nonsense

The Twitter ITK's are in full flow at the moment Does anyone believe there is anything genuine from any accounts on twitter? Or all a desperate seek for validation?
  19. Anytime. I'd say summer targets have been worked on for months in advance anyway as soon as it looked very likely we'd stay up - don't think Ashworth appointment will have an immediate effect on recruitment.
  20. Even if you hold the opinion that Henderson is equal in ability to Dubravka, he's younger and ticks the homegrown box for the squad - at £15mill its value. Also competition for the number 1 would improve the pair of them too. I agree Henderson would only be coming here if promised the #1 spot but wouldn't do either of them any harm having that competition for a place. Also seen Dubravka have a fair few injuries in recent years and we're then stuck with Darlow for a sustained period again? No thanks. Furthermore, trust the recruitment/Howe after the success we've had since January window. It's a smart signing.

    Jesse Lingard

Would be class but getting bored of reading the 'working on a deal for' line being touted by every journo going. I get it, they have to do their job but it feels like every deal has a running commentary to it.
  22. We all seem to be in same boat of wanting the following in before window closes: CB, CM, LB, CF + Wood and Trippier already would be a decent effort.
  23. What we thinking next then? CB? Would love to see Diego Carlos in.
  24. Only as precaution it appears. They have Barnes and Vydra out with injury and covid respectively + Cornet at AFCON. So the one fit striker they had we've gone and knicked and they play Leicester + Watford within 3 days next week.
  25. Wood 50 goals in 155 DCL 43 goals in 151 If we'd signed DCL for 40million i'd imagine a much better reaction on the whole. We've signed Wood for 20-25million and directly weakened an opponent as a result.
