Tbh, I think coefficients are less important in the new version. Having a low coefficient previously would seemingly inevitably lead to getting a group that was very difficult to qualify out of. Now, whilst you still likely get two (maybe three) very difficult games, you also likely get 2-4 (at least) that are eminently winnable, so you probably have a better chance of qualifying regardless of how low your coefficient is.

To do what though? He’s found his perfect role for us.

Still over 1300 left and I think there’s another 2-3k that haven’t been put on sale yet. -

Nah, it won’t go straight down to 0, I wouldn’t have thought. More likely 10, or maybe 5 if still loads left. -
Duran wasn’t pure profit. They paid about £20m for him originally. But, obviously they’ve still made a handsome profit. It shouldn’t be underestimated how much Villa have invested in players though. I know they’ve made some big sales too, as well as this season’s CL revenue, but with the wages they’ve been paying out, they must have been pushing the close to the limit.

He’s exceptionally talented but he has a tendency to drift through games for me. Playing in the position he does I’d want him to get involved more if it were my team. When he does get involved good things tend to happen, but it’s not enough if he wants to establish himself as an elite player. And his penalty technique is 🤮

For anyone that didn’t listen to this the ‘PSR expert’ guy they had on named Villa, Southampton and Wolves as the clubs likely to be tight to the limits, so they could be who clubs in stronger positions (i.e Newcastle) could target for the June deadline.

I don’t think they’ll care tbh. Frank constantly did with Toney.

Agreed, although given their recent record in the transfer market, selling him and reinvesting in 3 or 4 expensive flops would be fantastic.

Imagine the highlight being the 0-0 away to Anzhi which was a 5pm ko here so god knows what time in Aus.

Not to ignite an utterly pointless debate, but when you haven’t picked a side in this fight via religion or whatever else, you look on in bewilderment at the level of indoctrinated stupidity displayed on both sides. Still, totally agree it will be a great trip for those that make it. -
How about 12pm? edit - tbf if you convince yourself it’s a 12am ko, that could possibly be an acceptable state to find yourself in.

As it stands, whenever Bruno or Tonali don’t play (which will happen a lot more often next season) he’s next in line. Perhaps that changes if someone else comes in, but right now he’s getting a reasonable number of games next season.

Miley’s significantly better than Ndidi.

There’s gonna be a problem getting 9 out 9 if Chelsea win all their games…
-
I’ll probably regret getting involved in this, but I’m guessing also 5…

We’re not spending £50m+ on a midfielder this summer like (assuming none of the main three leave).

Win the two home games and that’s it almost certainly done.

He’s yet to put in any kind of performance at CF mind. His two impressive performances (Birmingham and Ipswich) have been at RW. Alright, you can say with justification that he hasn’t had many/any opportunities, but he’s so far shown nothing as the main striker that says he’s definitely a better option than Wilson at this moment in time.

Same points, GD AND same goals scored before h2h comes into it. But given we’re 4 goals ahead it would take a fairly odd set of results over the last two games for it to come down to that, so I wouldn’t fret.
