Not so bad if it was covered up, but still seems like a totally unnecessary risk to me. And perhaps more understandable if more of a case of not understanding the culture here. Although it feels like you’d have to be fairly new to English football not to have any understanding.

Whilst it’s obviously totally unacceptable to be going on like that towards someone, particularly someone as you describe, you wonder what planet people live on to think it’s a good idea to wear the colours of the away side sitting in the home end? Numerous people off here have bought tickets in home ends for various away games, particularly the CL games, and I very much doubt any of them were daft enough attend wearing a black and white top.

Tremendous choice for the display tonight IMO. -
I doubt there’s actually anything dodgy going on but they’ve made a bit of pigs ear of the explanation of it all, which inevitably leads to what’s going on now.

There will be increased policing costs that have to be covered. But obviously anything to that extent would be ludicrous.
-
Reckon Sociedad would be a great trip. Not the biggest of stadiums like so wouldn’t be much of an allocation.

Reece James fettled with a hamstring again. Not sure Chelsea are particularly relevant to this thread at present like.
-
Won’t really make any difference to them if it’s not being backdated? Obviously they still have the main issue that when any of these players they’ve put on 17 year contracts turn out to be shite, they’ll have a massive job on shifting them on.

Doing comms on 5live tomorrow apparently.

It’s wild. Nothing actually happened or being reported, but still further pages and pages of angry ranting accusing all and sundry of being a ‘Mag’. God help them when the announcement does actually come.

Or any way that lets you get one? ? Joking aside, I appreciate the frustration of someone in your position, been to countless aways in the past, gave up a ST for whatever reason, would likely have it back in a heartbeat but there’s none to get, and now effectively locked out of aways (unless dodging the rules). But there really isn’t a solution that’s gonna work. You can’t just say to folk that have barely missed a game for however many years, ‘sorry we’re good now, so you’re back in the pot with everyone else’. The best you can hope for, and something I would advocate, is the transferring of an away ticket to a named member, a limited number of times a season. No loyalty point involved (some would argue the person attending should get the point, I’m not sure, maybe would need to think about that more). Not ideal, but it would give you a way back in, and the likelihood is if you’re someone who went away regularly, you’ve got a bit of a network of contacts who still have ST’s who you can call upon.
-
But how? Barely anyone would be on more than 3 or 4 points? You’d have people who’d entered 40 ballots and never got chosen.
-
At this point we’ve supposedly got 60/70k members plus 30k ST holders. So we’d have about 100k people eligible for 3k (less really) tickets every away game. Even if only 15/20% apply, you’ll be doing very well to make two games a season. In 10 years time?
-
So at what point does that system move away from ballot and back to points becoming relevant?
-
You can’t say let’s have a ballot for away tickets, but once I’ve got enough points to start being able to get tickets, pack it in and go back to the normal way ?
-
Presumably resulting in a ballot for away tickets then….

Probably, I certainly wouldn’t expect us to get through the next round if we do qualify (possibly if it ended up being Sociedad). But if we can get back to having reasonable squad depth, we’d have a chance against anyone, especially if the second leg were at home.
-
Bayern just got twatted 5-1 off Frankfurt. Barca 2-4 at home to Girona. If PSG qualify they will start betting favourites against at least Atleti and Sociedad.
-
We’ve just comfortably beat PSG over two legs…
-
The way the groups are at the minute we’d have an 80% chance of getting a Spanish team in the next round.

About 100 tickets just gone on sale. Be quick!
