  1. Two of those three 90+ concessions were when we were already losing and chasing the game. So the ‘trend’ of conceding a late equaliser, is basically a trend of one.

    FIFA World Cup

Draw 5pm (GMT). Let’s have some predictions. I’ll go: England Ecuador Qatar Uefa Play-off C (Turkey)
  3. The argument, and I’m not saying I agree with it, is that having a consistent oversubscribe of capacity, is what helps to keep your demand consistently high. For example, if we have a 70k stadium that’s near enough full for most games, but you can usually get a ticket if you want one, and then we have a ‘Man Utd-style’ drop in form, it’s a lot more likely that consistent 70k becomes a consistent 50k or less. However, if you’re oversubscribed with demand, as Man Utd were, you tend to not see that much of a drop-off in attendances, despite the drop-off in form. I’m sure there’s a term for this, that those that understand market economics far better than me will be able to recall.
  4. Apart from last season. 36 points from 36 against the bottom 6, and some of them were pretty ‘easy’. It is different this season like. Even Wolves, who’s points total is pathetic, have more about them than the likes of Southampton did last season.

    Sven Botman

Eddie said in his presser he could be back in a week, but depends how he responds to the injection he’s had.
  6. Agreed, but it definitely still happens regardless. Obviously, to a vastly reduced level to pre-check days.
  7. Transfers? Ballot? Also there is the possibility of ST’s being transferred over from someone else (a grandad for example). Seems a bit of a grey area whether the loyalty points go with the ticket, but I’ve definitely heard of instances where it’s (apparently) happened. Or they’re just going in on someone else’s ticket.
  8. Yep, same issue with away tickets, although it’s probably exacerbated even further in that there’s a far smaller number of available tickets, which gives you even less wiggle room to come up with anything. The whole ticketing issue is an impossible conundrum to solve whilst demand outstrips supply so significantly, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t continue to try.
  9. No, as far as everyone is aware, every ballot is completely flat, where everyone has an equal chance, regardless of previous successes, membership-owning length etc etc. Obviously, you’re completely correct in that the only solution that will come remotely close to satisfying the majority is the creation of more seats. However, that’s a long way off, and I think it’s understandable people want to try and debate the ‘best’ solution in the interim, even if it we know it’s always going to be flawed to a degree.
  10. The problem being, as @Superior Acuña points out, you didn’t need a membership, or any kind of NUFC account, to get tickets previously. The older data held won’t necessarily be a reflection of who was actually present at games. And that’s before you consider the further back you go, the more you are disadvantaging younger fans, who obviously couldn’t have that history due to age. As I say, I do not envy them one bit trying to come up with something ‘fair’.
  11. Yeah, IMO the data they’ll hold pre-23/24 will have far too many holes in to be a reliable source to use when trying to come up with criteria for something like this. I really don’t envy them, because whatever they come up with, it’s going to upset some people, and they’ll get absolute pelters for it. In fact, I think they’d be better off just putting those 150 tickets back in match-by-match pot, but it seems that’s not what majority of members want, so they’ll have come up with some kind of criteria, regardless of how sketchy.
  12. Definitely still qualifies as a junior in the East Stand.

    Yoane Wissa

Ramsdale only got one, so two seems somewhat luxurious.
  14. Willing to call a temporary truce to hostilities for the evening. Time to remember who you once were Alex son.
  15. Just had ‘my’ 365 account gubbed this week, so maybe I need to join Reform to get hold of a new one.
  16. Thoughts on his penalty? Do we think he ‘sent the keeper the wrong way’? Looked to me like he was always going that side, and if the keeper guesses right he saves it. Not convinced by him as our main taker tbh, but then I was never convinced with Wilson taking them, and I don’t recall him ever missing for us, so… Also just a bit concerned that his relationship with the fanbase feels a bit fragile at the moment, and missing a crucial pen could do more harm to him than scoring a crucial one would do good for him.
  17. Has the pain not been soothed by another email offering you early access and a 20% discount on the newly-released, and extortionately priced, ‘Blue Players Range’?
  18. The only games we’ve been ‘poor’ in IMO this season were West Ham and Brentford (and they were really poor). Other games we’ve maybe been a bit flat (Leeds) or there’s been individual errors or bad luck that has cost us. So, we’re not that far away. But I suppose if you want to be challenging with the big lads, you need to be doing better.
  19. Howe’s post-match presser: https://youtu.be/oCrgKZkvbwE?si=WsnwOXBE9ptMWBEr I’d encourage people to watch it. He references many of the points/issues raised in here. Whilst just being aware of them doesn’t really help unless he finds solutions, it should correct anyone that thinks he doesn’t see them, or is too stubborn in his methods to try and change to solve them.
  20. Aye. I mean obviously that’s not all on Frank, but it doesn’t help his cause and the general mood.
