There’s some kind of narrative that Forest just went ‘fuck it’ and completely ignored PSR. What actually happened is that they delayed the sale of Brennan Johnson until after the June deadline so they could get a better price for him. Not sure how much extra they got, maybe another 10-15m, but hardly enough to fund a massive spending spree. They tried and failed to argue that as they were always going to sell him in that window, they should have been deemed compliant, but perhaps it did get them some mitigation. The point I’m making is that if anyone thinks you can just fuck PSR off and overspend by £100m or whatever, then expect the same level of punishment as Forest, you’d be badly mistaken.

I more meant is it the same injury that Eddie was referring to in that embedded post? From what our ITK friend has said, it sounded like he had more or less recovered from the ‘knock’ Eddie was speaking about, then something else, more significant, happened in training, resulting in needing an op.
