  1. He’s been this good since the last 1/3 of the second Benitez season. Correct. And i think he was only total dogshit when he had to play left back.
  2. He’s a decent Premier League striker. Nowt to get carried away about but it’s not something we’re used to so it’s understandable some people are.
  3. Williams at Man Utd? Or is he Welsh or something daft like that? The left side is def alarming. I’ve seen Williams play a few times and I don’t think he’s anything special. Ok defensively but he doesn’t have a clue going forward. Maybe Bertrand? He’s a solid, reliable and experienced. The type of LB I like, too - thin and lanky. As for Rice. I felt he was the reason we lost the Nations League but post lockdown he was West Ham’s best player. I was really impressed by him. I’d like to what he can do now that his game has grown. Hopefully he can continue his form with better players around him. Absolutely bizzarre.
  4. Yep. The power he generated on his “weaker” foot is absolutely unreal. Not many players in world football could’ve struck the ball like that.
  5. He’s a horrible little man that Kaveh. I honestly can’t bear to watch him. His mannerisms are awful and he comes across as completely full of shit.
  6. I know he was coming back from injury but he looked very poor in their run in. Definitely not £30m They will end up taking between 15 and 20 for him i reckon. I’d go for it, he’s much better than what we have. (Then i remember i support NUFC) I know our transfer policy is somewhat abysmal but after reading that I'm glad youre not in charge of it! Which of our strikers is better than Wilson then?

  8. Weird squad. Loads of attackers and attacking midfielders. Loads of people who can play right back and centre back, but no natural left back? Can only assume he’s confident Walker or Trippier will be good there. Great to see Foden in there. Pleased there’s no Grealish, he’s a good player but his general appearance irritates me for some reason.
  9. Didn’t he quit Hull for the exact same reason? Pretty sure he did.
  10. Aye a lot of them are stealing a living. Considering the amount of time they actually spend “at work” it shouldn’t be too much to ask to just look up some facts and stats, or god forbid, actually watch some live football matches before they spout utter drivel. One that keeps popping up that drives me mad is when pundits claim that Aubameyang would score a lot more goals if he was played through the middle. It’s obvious that his hold up play isn’t quite up to scratch for that role and that he actually gets more goalscoring opportunities when he can come in from a wide position. But the likes of Redknapp can’t see it cos they just think playing as a centre forward guarantees more goals. Cristiano Ronaldo is another similar example and he’s arguably the most famous player on the planet so you have to question how much football these chancers actually watch.
  11. Have to agree with this. He’s got to the point where he offers nothing in the way of information, but just winds people up with his pathetic comments. He’s not even witty or clever with it, just cringey more than anything else.
  12. Yup. Takeover that could genuinely progress the club is knocked back due to concerns that turn just as geopolitical as football-related. Then they rush through someone without the public controversy to say 'here you go; you got what you wanted' but they have nowhere near the finances/nous and the club gets run in to the ground. Just feels like the inevitable conclusion if a takeover were to happen now. Without wanting to jump on the misery train (even though that’s exactly what i’m doing), this is what i can see happening aswell.
  13. It’s worth taking into account that he inherited an uninterested, disjointed squad that was already heading for relegation. But the reality is the results and performances under Shearer simply weren’t good enough. And the fact he appointed Dowie as his number 2 was a concern for me straight away. That appointment didn’t indicate any sort of forward-thinking or innovation, he simply appointed a mate who had some managerial experience. Also, if he was serious about management he should’ve gone elsewhere to prove himself instead of sitting on a sofa every Saturday.
  14. No thanks. I’ve never understood the type around Brooks. I’d take a left back though, Diego Rico. Callum Wilson would improve our attack massively aswell.
  15. Don't use Twitter myself, but probably this guy, Ben Robson. At least he was born in Newcastle and went to school here. Played Kalf, and got to get quite frisky with Lagertha, the lucky sod. Glad you named the character he played. I recognised him but couldn’t remember who he was ?
  16. Who said i was annoyed? I just pointed out they love a whinge but aren’t prepared to use their influence to do anything about it. That’s pathetic if you ask me. I’ve never been annoyed about it, i just decided to avoid their website a good while ago because of it. Same with The Chronicle.
  17. No they don’t HAVE to be flag bearers, but whether they like it or not their website will have a fairly big influence over our fanbase. The Chronicle are in the same bracket. Both kept their hands clean of protests to protect their own interests instead of trying to make a difference. That’s the way i see it anyway.
  18. Not sure if that’s a typo or not, but what a great name for him!
  19. Nothing special? Serious? Madness. We would’ve almost certainly been relegated if Dubravka had been injured for a significant amount of time.
  20. Yep. He’s also deflecting attention away from the fact his bestie didn’t win the Rafa Trophy.
  21. Who was then? For what it’s worth, i thought Ritchie was our best player that year. But had no problem with Clark getting it as he was excellent.
  22. I agree with all of that. But is it from dot com? Sounds like it. They love a whine about how shit the club is under Ashley but they refused to back any protests or boycotts. They can fuck off tbh. Personally i wouldn’t visit their website again after that.
  23. Clark was outstanding and very consistant in our promotion year.
  24. He's benefitted massively from taking over a Rafa coached squad, even if he has made them shitter along the way. Rondon and Perez scored 25 goals combined. Joelinton scored 2. Don't care about transfer fees. There is -23 goals there. That's huge. You say this as if Rondon and Perez still would’ve scored 25 goals that season had Bruce been in charge. They both had personal record scoring seasons as far as their premier league careers are concerned. I’m pretty confident that was largely because they were working for Rafa Benitez. Put those 2 in a Steve Bruce team and i’d bet that Rondon would look isolated like he did at WBA under Pulis, and Perez would probably be benched after a few games.
