Good god! Let's hope he wrote a bad review on Trip Advisor to warn other people!

Absolute madness!

Amazing that McLaren wanted him back even though he'd barely played for about 3 years! Just shows how clueless he was.

I haven't been paying too much attention to the game but Levante's centre back has just hit a corker of a volley into the top corner against Espanyol. Worth keeping your eye out for definitely. *Edit* It's actually Sociedad they're playing, like it said i wasn't paying much attention.

He could very well continue to improve on the ball while becoming a better all around defender at his age. I doubt that he will tbf, technique isn't something that is usually improved that drastically. That's fine though, under the right setup it might not even matter. It's not common, especially for a centre back, but i remember Tony Adams being really poor on the ball and even ridiculed for it at times but the end of his career he'd improved massively. He was another young captain so maybe Lascelles has got something he had, hopefully anyway.

Absolutely loves engineering a move for himself that fella. He'll probably be hoping the Chinese let him fuck off back to Buenos Aires and substidise some of the wages.

Went to Sheff Wed didn't he? Yeah. He must've signed for Torino not long after that game cos i loved Serie A at the time and i remember him being brilliant for them.

Benito Carbone on the bench for Ascoli, cracking little player ?

Fucking sick beast! Deserves his arms broken!

Yep, we've just won 3 PL games in a row without (more or less) Shelvey and Gayle. Seemed unthinkable last season. We proved on many occasions it wasn't possible! We've played very well last few games but I wouldn't get too excited yet. The liverpool game will be very interesting Are you saying we should be judged on how we do against Liverpool rather than the type of teams we've played recently? If so i'd disagree. We need to beat the teams at the bottom and the middle of the league to achieve our goal so i'd rather we did that. There's nothing more frustrating than having a team that loses to s*** sides but then decides to turn it on against the so-called big clubs. And we've had a fair few teams like that to be fair. No not exactly. I agree with you though and don't get me wrong, so far, so good. I just think the last 3 teams were really poor on the day, coupled with us playing well on the day. I don't expect us to beat liverpool, but if we compete and don't get embarrassed then really bodes well for rest of season Ok fair points mate, i can't argue our opponents haven't looked poor, but maybe we made them look poor just as much as they did themselves? I won't be that concerned about the Liverpool result, they can be devastating when they click. I'm sure they scored 6 at Citeh a couple of years ago and 5 against another top team not long after. Having said that it would be nice to give them a good game and prove we can live with the best sides.

Aye, properly mental for turning up 24 hours early. I'd forgotten about those 2! Guaranteed to be on the register!

This was a decent one. Perez scored a beauty that day aswell.

Some of them actually like that Dangernonce? He's an absolute freak!

I need to see this. They didn't show it on MOTD. 12:00 in the extended highlights on nufc.co.uk ?

Remember that time we went 2 (TWO) years without scoring from a set piece Aye i remember i used to brag to people that "i was there" the last time we scored a corner, in a similar way that people brag they saw us win the Fairs Cup. We really were unbelievably shit at them. The opposition were actually happy to concede corners as they knew it was a piece of piss to defend against. Fucking Pardew!

Correct me if I am wrong. We signed him for a staggering amount at that time, give him our highest wages, and in return he guided us to relegation with uncountable mistakes. It's when we was in Championship that he started to perform, and when we were back to EPL he gave us 1 year of world class performance. Then that's it. After the back home saga "let me go for free" he was never the same, and basically do nothing on and off the pitch. The only remarkable thing was he give Ba a head kick when Ba transferred to Chelsea and play against us. I think he gave us 3 decent seasons. The season in The Championship, the first season back up, and the season we finished 5th. The rest of his time here he was abysmal and appeared to be a negative influence as captain.

Get big Jamaal in the next England squad to sort that dressing room out! He'll quickly get stuck into those overpayed, over-hyped, bottling, prima donnas!

I like Dummett, but I simply don't rate him at all. On this level a player has to be able to play and handle a football, no matter what position. We look so much more balanced being able to start our attacks from the left as well, and not just from the right through Yedlin/whoever. Said it a hundred times before that having someone like Dummett makes us so easy to read for the opposition during our build up play. The opposition know from an early stage that if they press us correctly the ball will end up on our right 9/10 and then they can move the the team and press hard on that side which in return also makes it hard for us to find space on the right hand side. Much better balance now as we can use both flanks more effectively, and I'm not surprised that Atsu looks more involved now. Also, I think Yedlin will look even better this season than the last because it's going to be less crowded on the right hand side as we will and can use the left side of the pitch much better without Dummett, and also switch play more effectively. Dummett's lack of ability forced him to play it sideways or back to a CB nine times out of ten and that gives the opposition so much extra time to get organized and limit our options after having to start over from the back. Bang on ?

They actually did okay under O'Neil for a long time that year. Was totally useless though because we made them look awful by comparison and that's their whole point as a club. Wasn't the fact that we were flying one of the main reasons they were so quick to get on Bruce's back? Pretty sure they weren't that far down the table when he was sacked, by their standards anyway. That's the way i seem to remember it anyway

I love the fact that, to them, their problems always seem a million times worse when we're doing well. That forum was hilarious the season we finished 5th. It's a proper little Brucie Bonus for us!

Couldn't stand these fuckers last season. There was something a bit fishy about them getting 946 penalties over the course of the season and the fact they were the media's darlings made them even more irritating. Come to think of it, that Knockaert was a right cheating, whiny little prick when we played them down there and their fans got on my nerves. The only thing remotely likeable about them is Chris Hughton, top man! I hope we smash them.
