28 in the summer and about to enter the last year of his contract, no chance. We'd get about what we paid for him (and who would have thought that two years ago!)

Dub is barely any better than Karius imo. How many teams have good back up keepers in the PL? Outside of City/Liverpool/Arsenal I can't think of any others.

If Karius and Gillespie were happy to stay I'd just bump them up to 2nd/3rd choice, let Dubravka go and make an U21 keeper 4th choice.

I don't understand this clamour for a number 6. If all were fit we'd have seven CMs to choose from as it is, I'm sure Tonali would be able to play that role and even then Howe's midfield trio system is more like playing three number 8s with one of them filling in the 6 role if necessary. A new CB, RW and Striker are more important to bring in this summer.

I think that's a good thing as they will almost certainly have nothing to play for and Toney won't want to get injured before his big move.

Looking at the table now it's pretty clear we're going to finish either 7th or 8th. What that would get us in terms of europe is the ECL spot at best.

Him and Isak having to play at 70-80% fitness due to each others injuries isn't helping like. We should have taken a punt on a young foreign striker last month to take some of the workload.

He looked like he was moonwalking away from goal when Elanga skinned him twice in the first half. He'll still start the next game though.

I think the penny is about to drop with Howe regarding starting Burn every game, if it does not he will end up on the dole.

Due to FFP finally starting to have some teeth, I think the days of players in this country being offered £300k-400k a week are coming to an end for the foreseeable future. Man U are looking to offload all their top earners, Casemiro, Varane, even Rashford if they get a big offer for him. Chelsea have spent all that money on Fernandez, Caicedo and Mudryk, yet they are all on sub £200k a week. If Joe really wants the big money he can fuck off to Saudi and play in front of 5000 crowds every week.

Of all the ones out of contract in the summer, he's the one worth giving an extra year. Just hope his injury problems are behind him.

I hope we haven't, becasue if we have it's looking like a colossal waste of money.

I find it hard to believe we've commited to spend £30m on an 18 year old full back and then subsequently decided he's not ready.

Or Hall, but it seems we've already made the decision to avoid playing him for whatever reason.
