  1. I'd be keen to see Lejeune back in the side but I just can't justify dropping the in-form Lascelles and the exceptional Ciaran Clark - who in my opinion has been our best player so far this season closely followed by Merino.
  2. I think Shelvey will start on the bench again, with an unchanged line-up. If we can look as solid as we have most of the season, and limit Liverpool's chances created, I think we have enough about us to get a couple of goals and come away with some points. Excited for this, and really looking forward to seeing the flag display.
  3. I like him, reacts well. I've noticed a few quality stops from him this season like, seems to have developed alot since the Arsenal days.
  4. These lads are f****** legends. If any of the lads helping out with making these banners are on here, I sincerely thank and appreciate you.
  5. Class that. Also looks like Rafa has massive stretch armstrong arms à la Big Sam in that belta of a thread on here somewhere.
  6. Would have been a superb signing in 2011 when we were first linked and would still be a superb signing in 2018. Really good player.
  7. Christensen for Chelsea looks good tbf.
  8. They dropped so deep in the second half and Willian is good but isn't as creative as Hazard in terms of linking the midfield to the forward(s), so Hazard found himself isolated as Chelsea dropped off. He was having a great game before being put up top too.
  9. Power on that hit man, passed the keeper in a flash.
  10. Was a more open, exciting game with Morata on the pitch. Willian coming on instead of Batshuayi has had a negative effect on the game for neutrals. Both teams less threatening than in the first 40 minutes or so.
  11. You watching the game? Bordeaux offering very little I'd imagine. Both teams were unbeaten before today, hoped it would have been a bit more of a contest. PSG is just on a run. Bordeaux have been alright going forward, their striker is horrible though. Except against the mighty Montpellier.
  12. They should just start calling the league The Premier League Break the amount of International games that seem to be played.
  13. He was a nightmare when he came on against us the other week as well. Great sub to bring on for the final 10 minutes of a game, certainly asks questions.
  14. On evidence of this game, I think Lukaku; whilst he's made a good start for Man Utd goal-wise, has some growing to do to really look assured and at home for them. He still has an air of clumsiness about him imo, whereas players around him like Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford & Matic look so comfortable and complete. He's still made Utd a better team single-handedly like, but he'll have to take it up a level or two in the future to really look like a world class player.
  15. Higuain has had ample opportunities to make an impact in massive moments for competitive teams and he hasn't delivered. Not better than Kane. Kane was better than Ibra last year. With an ACL at his age, no way can we say in 2017 he's better than Kane. Kane is bang in that convo and it's great from an English perspective. I'd suggest that is harsh on Higuain to rule him out of the conversation because he failed to score in some big moments. His goal scoring record is absolutely ridiculous, as good/better than anyone in the world after Messi/Ronaldo. Can't really say Kane is a better striker than him - on par at very best.
  16. I prefer Cavani, Lewandowski, Ibrahimovic, Suarez & Higuain to Kane like, partially playing style but partially as I think they're all better players, or at least have shown it to date. More to come from Kane I suspect, how much is the big question.
  17. I think realistically you can give him more than 7-8 seasons mind. We don't know how he will age but him playing until he's 35 is definitely possible. 10-11 seasons after this one. Doubt he'll be hitting 20 a season by that point (although Ibra makes it seem possible) but he won't need to if he carries on as he is for the next 5-6 year. I guess that's part of the question with Kane, is he Ibrahimovic good or is he Rooney good. Which is basically a question of how hungry will he be into the latter stages of career. Rooney seemed to lose it where as someone like Ibra kept that youthful desire and hunger to score. Messi, Ronaldo & perhaps Robben/Ribery fall into that category too - where age doesn't seem to factor into their ability to succeed. To be fair to Kane though, his attitude and fitness seem spot on - but at the same time if his head is turned by one of the big clubs - even if just for a few seasons - his chance at the record will be gone.
  18. If he hits 100 goals by the end of this season, that gives him about 7-8 seasons assuming he stays fit & playing for an English club to score 160. Given it is has took him 3-4 seasons to be get to the hundred mark, albeit only like 3 seasons as a first team player, it's not a forgone conclusion. Massive task, definitely possible, but very very tough.
  19. Thought Kane had passed the 100 pl goals mark tbh, was surprised to see his tally is actually just 84 to date. Some work to do to beat Shearer's record like.
  20. You have to trust Rafa in regards to the Aarons thing. He not only sees him regularly in training, he also will have watched carefully his good display against Notts Forest. For him to still not give him a run out after that suggests to me he is lacking something to start matches. I think the best he can be for us this season is an impact sub, with Ritchie and Atsu seemingly streets ahead of him in terms of starting a game and staying disciplined to the managers instructions.
  21. The league that is won yearly by foreign managers...
  22. Looking forward to Atl Madrid v Chelsea like, some great head to heads all over the pitch & in the dugout.
