Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Villarreal)
Infinitely Content replied to ponsaelius's topic in Football
He's obviously under instruction from Rafa to keep running and don't allow the opponents to settle on the ball too often. It's an absolute key role in our good start the season, he created the first goal because of it and scored the second. Hence the credit he's getting for working hard. And he should be. -
There'll be plenty of teams willing to take Mitrovic or Gayle. Would personally rather keep Mitrovic though.

Happy for Ayo for getting his goal. Glad Rafa is sticking with him, his man management skills will bring the best out of Ayo eventually; who imo is a talented & committed player. -
Yep, shouldn't be on the bench over Mitrovic - he's utterly pointless playing for us in this setup. He had a simple pass to play to Shelvey at the end which would put Jonjo through on goal and he didn't have the quality to play it. Mitrovic finds Shelvey there imo. Gayle only any good in the 6 yard box, almost useless otherwise.

One mistake doesn't and shouldn't define an otherwise very good player. He's at worst as good as any other defender we have. -

Looking forward to seeing Lejeune Pretty sure Merino will come on and impact the game in some way. Rafa showing faith in Hayden will do his confidence the world of good too. -
Classic Sammy goal that. Although there's a severe lack of fans on the pitch.

Really skillful team Liverpool. Some lovely play moving into the final third from the from the wide players, absolutely terrible upfront though. If they had a Lukaku or a Morata they would be title challengers.

Feel great about our club at the moment and this deal just epitomises it. We're sailing in calm waters for once, and I forgot how it feels to be able to rest assured in regards to NUFC. Thanks obviously goes to Rafa and the brilliant bunch of lads he has working under him, who seem to genuinely give a shit for once

Future Spain international and seems an intelligent lad too. Not sure we have made a signing this good in a while. Arguably will be better than Cabaye.

Powerful image, that.

Barca to the prem. School our big boys on how to play and put them in their place. They'd fucking walk this league like, on style alone.

It's probably harsh on whoever misses out, Mbemba included. Lejeune just seems a really classy player from what I've seen, and obviously is much lauded from his time in La Liga & the fact City bothered to sign him. Think he's the real deal and will be a regular starter before the season is up -

Isn't that list of results against Soton missing the one we won at SJP where Cisse scored a belter and Fox had an absolute shocker for them. Think it was 4-2 to us? Might be wrong like. Edit: It's a list of results at St Mary's, of course... I remember Carr's screamer like. -
Reading articles regarding all this shite, such as on this true faith and what not. The overuse of the word 'wor' comes across quite disingenuous, like it's someone from America or something trying to sound local, when really locals don't really talk like that much other than in a comedic exaggerated manner.
