  1. She once asked me out in a pub back in 2010, she unfortunately had to settle for Oxlade-Chamberlain, can't have everything Good game this like, atmosphere is class. What happened?! I was in a relationship at the time so I didn't follow up her interest 16 was the new 18 back then man. We were 17 & 18 iirc.
  2. Going by the build up and commentary of this game, the pundits seem desperate for Karius to have a nightmare. Hope he has a stormer.

  4. Yesterday, Ritchie was responsible for the best move of the match, where he found Perez running off the shoulder with a lofted through ball. Whilst his numbers may have took a hit in recent months, I still think he contributes enough good moments in games to warrant being in the team, particularly a team whose only aim is to stay in the league. That said, I think Murphy has been really impressive lately, I love his ability to turn out of danger in tight spaces and put us on the front foot in games, so I can absolutely understand people wanting Murphy in the team over him. But I still feel a lot of this Ritchie criticism is a bit dramatic, we're struggling as a team at the moment so singling out one player as being responsible for making us a less potent attacking outfit is a bit simplistic, in my opinion.
  5. Diame wasn't awful either, he drove us forward a lot and won his fair share of important challenges. Gave away about 6 silly fouls, gave away the ball quite a bit etc. He did drive us forward, but to little effect. Including the brilliant pass he made which contributed to our equaliser? I only watched the second half admittedly but he appears to be the only player who is spraying the ball about with real purpose for us. He's inconsistent and should definitely be registering more goals/assists, but at the moment he should be starting. We're absolutely incapable of even starting an attack without him. Spot on
  6. Diame wasn't awful either, he drove us forward a lot and won his fair share of important challenges. Gave away about 6 silly fouls, gave away the ball quite a bit etc. He did drive us forward, but to little effect. Had a higher pass completion than all bar Yedlin and Perez. Made the most tackles in our team and won the most aerial challenges. I get that he looks awful at times but looking awful doesn't really mean anything. Was our best or second best player IMO Agreed, Diame & Perez were bright sparks for us today and didn't do a whole lot wrong between the two of them. I'm sure Rafa is pleased with the two of them.

  8. There was a moment in the second half where Clark had vacated his position and got caught out, Yedlin steamed across and made a vital challenge to prevent a shot from Bony I believe it was. Got to give him a lot of credit imo. Obviously has learning to do but to call him s*** is way over the top.
  9. Made for Atsu that, has the right technique for it. Shelvey needs more room to make the most of his.
  10. Unbeaten in 4, not doing that badly.
  11. Son is really good. Seems to do everything to a very high standard.
  12. Some of his passing was very good today. I can see why he was frustrated at being brought off, probably felt he was doing what was asked of him. Although to be fair, Diame didn't do much wrong today either.
  13. Nah it's nonsensical to demand so, according to Kid Icarus & triggs during the match thread. Tbh it wouldn't be as bad usually but it was from a dead ball situation and he was just standing there doing nothing other than wasting the potential opportunity for his more switched on team mates. Not good enough.
  14. Wot. Thanks for that f***ing outstanding contribution Kanj. A couple of headers that were by no means bankers and a strike from about 16 yards on his left foot whilst being covered by a defender. You would hope he'd put one of them away and we need a new striker who 9 times out of 10 would but people are cracking on like they were everytime Cisse dared to not burry a chance. I don’t agree with you man. I feel like You’re making excuses for our #9. I’m sorry the second chance was on a plate with the entire left side of Fabianski open and he heads across goal 2-3 yards wide. He’s then offside on a corner, with 0 awareness to get back on and wasted that chance. That first header, by the way, basically ayew had the same chance and gets it on goal and scored he rebound on us. Our striker hits that horribly wide. Sorry if my Wot winded you up but I was shocked by what you said. That’s all. It wouldn't have been a chance if he wasn't offside though. The keeper would have just collected it easily. I guess a player can't be onside then run onto a chance then? if he was even and stepped forward? If Gayle isn't standing there blocking him, the keeper just comes out and takes it though IMO. It was very close with the guy on the left anyway IMO, I'd have to see it again You should watch it again, if he's even with his man or even a step onside and lunges forward anticipating he scores. He's just standing there like a f***ing doofus. I'll watch it on MOTD later. You could be right but tbf someone earlier was complaining about him not being like 4-5 yards further back which was completely nonsensical How is it nonsensical to say Gayle should have been onside? You're drunk.
  15. I'd start Joselu next game but these comments like "I'd start Joselu and Perez for the foreseeable future" make me laugh considering they are just as likely to play s*** They're both clearly the more in form, effective players. Laugh away but it's true. Clear as day.
  16. Yeah that free kick was perfectly placed for him to try and float one over the wall. A bit further out then yeah sure Shelvey, Gayle or Ritchie, but from that close in, Atsu has the right technique.

Sorry if my Wot winded you up but I was shocked by what you said. That’s all. Yep, Kanji is right, the second chance was on a plate, he is rightly being criticised for a terrible performance. Same as any of our other strikers would be. Problem is, when Gayle doesn't score, he contributes next to nothing else either and it's so frustrating to watch him strolling around, head hanging down. He needs time out as it's gone on for too long when Perez & Joselu are clearly in much, much better form. I thought Gayle pressed and made some great tackles, his left footed shot was perfectly fine man...it's the headers earlier on that I have issue with. Doesn't do enough for me like, Perez is far better at defending from the front, and paired with Joselu we have a much more dynamic duo. That's the way forward for us I feel.

  19. Brilliant up turn in form for this lad. Looks so sharp. Him & Joselu upfront for the foreseeable future is our best bet.
  20. I dunno, I tend to think of the teams that you know will be in and around you as being must win, rather than matches at the tail end of the season that include Man City, Man United, Spurs, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Nah, wins come from seemingly unlikely places every season. There's a full 15 matches left, that's loads of points up for grabs. We're not in must-win territory yet, and tbh it doesn't help anybody dubbing games as such until they're factually must-win, and even then - the players will know that anyway. For now we have to protect our team's positive mentality, and the stands adding pressure with these false must win games & the attitudes that ensue will not help that one bit.
  21. Not worried yet. Would have been a good time to get 3 points but we're still some way off 'must win' territory. The mentality of this team is still a positive one and that will go a long way. The wins will come. Keep supporting.
