It's an absolute key role in our good start the season, he created the first goal because of it and scored the second. Hence the credit he's getting for working hard. And he should be.

There'll be plenty of teams willing to take Mitrovic or Gayle. Would personally rather keep Mitrovic though.

Yep, shouldn't be on the bench over Mitrovic - he's utterly pointless playing for us in this setup. He had a simple pass to play to Shelvey at the end which would put Jonjo through on goal and he didn't have the quality to play it. Mitrovic finds Shelvey there imo. Gayle only any good in the 6 yard box, almost useless otherwise.

One mistake doesn't and shouldn't define an otherwise very good player. He's at worst as good as any other defender we have.
