I wish we would just have a fucking go at them. Have some belief in ourselves, we don't even look slightly interested in playing when we get the opportunity. The mindset is just expecting to lose the ball and being ready to drop off into shape. Absolutely dreadful. -

I reckon our players must dread match day. Imagine being told to play football this way every week... It's no wonder morale seems quite low. -

Pretty shit 11 that tbh. I like ASM, Fernandez and Manquillo. The rest aren't good enough imo. -

Glad Manquillo is back in, the fact he was dropped was stupid. Been one of our most consistent players for ages now. -
Good goal, his ability to change direction is superb. His game is such a blend between power/pace contrasted with subtle, artful movements. The master.

Valentino Lazaro (now playing for Benfica, on loan from Inter Milan)

That's better than Robert's imo. That's one of the most satisfying goals I've ever seen, the way the ball spins off his foot, the distance out, the cross is far from ideal. It's a stunning goal. -

That's incredible. -
That first screen is probably a list of our next managers. Slowly working our way up to the promised land. Allardyce.

I think Merino is the one Premier League level midfielder we’ve had since Cabaye. Bruce would start Hendrick over Merino I reckon. Not even joking either.

Longstaff stoned like? -
Sums it up well. He does nothing. Just hides. Blatant to see what he's doing. Pathetic tbh.

Yep. He's fucking awful. He and Longstaff are hiding in the midfield. Especially Hendrick, doing that thing where a player will make it look like they're trying to find space to make themselves available but really he's hiding in and around opposition players so he's not available to receive the ball and inevitably fuck up. So non-committal and lacking courage or responsibility. Worst thing is, despite the fact he does absolutely nothing in a forward sense, when the ball is turned over, he's somehow always behind play and chasing back. -

ASM through the middle again then you reckon? That's a shame, we need him back out wide. -
Yes. He'd walk into both teams.

I always thought King was often over-rated because of his injuries. Seemed like he’d be touted as being the next Bobby Moore if it weren’t for injuries. Maybe I’m being harsh, he played for them at a time we normally gave him the run around. Woodgate on the other hand...class. King was fantastic. Very Van Dijk-esque. Could have easily reached that level, I'd argue he was on that level when fit. Pace, power, anticipation. Everything he done was slick and assured.
-
Ledley King would be in the conversation if he wasn't so plagued by injuries. Terry for me was the best by some way. King & Woodgate, talent-wise, were equal to or even better than Ferdinand.
-
No way imo. They'd be ripped apart in our league. We wouls easily beat them, so would burnley Agreed. They'd almost certainly be relegated.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

Someone needs to give him a fuggy crack on his baldy heed. Blind cunt. -
Looks really promising. Better than the last Brazilian centre back called Gabriel that they bought.

Ferdinand? Lewis up front?

Newcastle United vs Everton 01/11/2020 - 2pm - Sky Sports
Infinitely Content replied to joeyt's topic in Football
Yep, Everton line up is still decent, but the style of play they've been successful with this season will have to be altered significantly with the absence of 3-4 players who are key to that system. If we had a decent manager, I'd be confident of exploiting their vulnerabilities. -
I had an incline Werner & Havertz wouldn't hit the ground running here, if at all. Ziyech is the real deal though, Chelsea's best summer singing.

Strange one, Podence is a way better player like, but still think Adama is a good player and looked to be improving his end product a lot last season. Think he's a pretty good crosser of the ball these days. They play Neto on the right now I think - who I don't know enough about, however all I do know, and have always known is - Saint-Maximin > Adama.
