Mikel Merino was a solid signing that we probably wouldn't have made without the influence of Rafa. Every chance he becomes a mainstay in the Spanish national team and gets a move to one of the historically top clubs. Every club gets signings wrong, I think for the most part we do quite well in the transfer window when we actually decide to take part.

Plenty of managers with half a clue would absolutely love to have a player like Almiron to work with. He's a dream for a coach with his stamina, attitude and teamwork. Football isn't as individualistic as it used to be, it's all about systems these days and managers are likely more than ever looking at the attitude and work rate of potential signings as something key. Willems is a bang average defender and can't be a positive that he can't get a look in at a mid table bundesliga side, we have Lewis out altogether and still had 3 fullbacks on the bench today, we don't need another one. Much more important positions need improving before we put another fullback in the squad Disagree. Dubravka couldn't get a look it at Prague before we signed him. There's other factors that can be at play, and having been on loan, expressed his desire to leave his parent club, and having had a serious injury, it's not really any surprise he's not playing for them currently. Doesn't necessarily mean he's worse than what they have. Either way he's twice the player of Lewis and we should sign Willems whilst he develops. I don't understand how Tuchel is rated so highly I agree, but he's on the managerial merry-go-round, and now that Pochettino is employed, Allegri and Tuchel are the next two due to be linked with every struggling elite team.

City and Liverpool. Man United are in it imo. Best player in the league and the team's recent form make your lot very dangerous. Attention will rightly be on Liverpool and City which works nicely for Man United to just keep picking up points on the periphery. Game against Liverpool is potentially the biggest fixture between the two sides I can remember.

Bit hyperbolic, but generally yes, he was poor. I'm not so sure he will make it in the championship tbh, he has okay technique when it comes to striking a ball but nothing else. Can't run, pass, tackle, protect possession, play in tight spaces, carry the ball... basically all the attributes important for a central midfielder.

Werner doesn't have the physicality for this league. And by that I'm not saying he has to be a Carroll or a Barnes, but even as a smaller forward you need to be able to compete and use your body intelligently. Think Aguero, Alexis, Lacazette... even Maupay. Werner is far too light weight and will be a flop if it's not addressed.

Soyuncu gets injured and they replace him with a better player (Fofana). Leicester have the best recruitment in the league by far, surprised none of the top clubs have poached their scouting staff.
