  1. Quite different situations I think, Delap was an opportunistic signing at a low fee. Wissa isn't the typical striker, he is capable both out wide and in a more playmaker style role with his ball-carrying abilities. He's a lot more versatile and dynamic than Sesko or Ramos.
  2. Not at all sure about the talk over the last few pages on Sesko and Ramos. I don't think our plan was to ever spend big on a more rigid, traditional striker profile. Ekitike and Joao Pedro were unique propositions as players we had pursued before who could play both with and in lieu of Isak proficiently. I don't think Sesko or Ramos are at all a similar profile to Joao Pedro or Ekitike, they both seem to thrive on intelligent movement and finishing. They're hardly the versatile playmaker types. Spending £70m+ on either them wouldn't make much sense or align with the strategy we clearly have in mind imo.
  3. I don't care about Hugo, he don't care about me, all I care about, is Joelinton Cássio Apolinário de Lira
  4. I don't think it is. Isak isn't for sale, and Liverpool's supposed valuation is of the kind of money which would perhaps get him if he was actively for sale. As things stand they're miles off, like £30 - £40m off, conservatively, even if Isak was keen. It's like us offering £20-25m for Elanga and then playing like we're the big boys in the press.
  5. Without even a whisper of bitterness, I personally somewhat enjoy the cartel clubs rampantly exploiting the unjust landscape of English football, spending money unchecked and entirely out of proportion with what we can even dream of. We will continue beating them, pushing them all the way, and taking silverware from them. And as a result, every time we win in such unfavourable conditions, it will be a kind of sweetness which we will never grow tired and weary of. Let them.
  6. Ah yes, the £85m bid, so the same as what Darwin Nunez was bought for 3 years ago... What a job this lot have.
  7. His first time passes around the box are artful, and when he receives the ball marked, spins and accelerates away there's fuck all anyone can do about it. Sensational player.
  8. I'd propose it would be one for very specific games, away in the Champions League or at Anfield/Etihad for example where we concede possession. It's combative, high work-rate with a huge goal threat and Elanga to facilitate the quick transition.
  9. I think Joelinton is quite accomplished on the left of midfield too, both defensively and offensively. Sunderland away (attack) and Chelsea at home (I think it was) where he was almost playing left wing back. It's a system which would make sense in a Simeone 442 model, who also uses a central midfielder out wide allowing for flexibility and fluidity of shape. Ekitike Isak Joelinton Tonali Bruno Elanga Hall Botman Schar Livramento Pope Genuinely one of the best 11's in europe.
  10. Definite similarities suggesting joined-up thinking, but to me he looks way better than Pedro.
  11. In certain games, we could be looking at the Simeone signature 4-4-2. Ekitike. Isak. Joelinton. Tonali. Bruno. Elanga.
  12. Went out for a walk when it was just the single Romano tweet about a deal being worked on, and I've been sat going through page by page since then like I'm checking a lottery ticket.
  13. This pitiful PSG performance is another example of why I, Louis, would never have anything to do with the French.
  14. Nah, they won't play any team in the Premier League as defensively neglectful as this PSG team are here. It's easy to play through them, long ball from the keeper and Chelsea are in every single time. It's genuinely shocking from PSG.
  15. In many of the clips I've seen of him, he likes to pick up the ball wide left and cut in, not too dissimilar to Isak, Barnes and Gordon.
  16. Is it typical for a pre-season game to be on ITV1? Or is it because of the Jota tribute, or perhaps because it just means more to Liverpool as they like to insist to all us nobodies?
  17. Wonder if they made a video with the National Socialist Workers' Party of Sweden flag being waved by Krafth in the background and had to go back to the drawing board at the 11th hour.
  18. I suppose I am, but I'm saying it's a semantic issue really. There is 11 players who are considered the best 11 I believe, and would be played if available in more significant games. We can call the players who fall outside of that back-ups or we can say they're rotation options. Basically Joelinton is King and the rest courtiers.
