Seems to me that you are on a bit of a rant and rave right now. He's not wrong though, QM. Bruce could have a cup of tea and there'd be 7 pages of vitriol saying he should have had a coffee. It's just way over the top. No, he deserves every bit of shit he gets, he wasn't forced to take the job, and shit on his former club in the process. The bloke is a tit aswell as a shit manager, fuck him. Thought you didn't care? Doesn't care but has posted 20 times in the match thread Guys, pushing this argument just makes you look stupid. Obviously nobody has literally no feelings about Newcastle. Some of us have just had to switch off because we can’t take the infinite futility and pain of talking about Newcastle like it’s still a normal football club . Use your heads a bit. No it doesn't. Several posters have said repeatedly, that they are done with the club, but they post consistently in the match thread, and some are celebrating when we get beat. Hypocrite central. It's so clearly manufactured in those guys who come on writing stuff like "glad we lost, howay Norwich next week" etc. Cringey stuff.

How can something be predictable when it doesn't precede anything though? After 18 games if the same mistakes that cost us today are happening, then yes, predictable, but after the first game? I'm not sure that makes much sense. Fwiw there was some promising signs in the first half today in our play and a few players in particular caught the eye. I'll choose to not plummet into abject misery just yet. You're far too sensible. You're completely wasting your time though. They've been waiting all summer for something to go crazy over. Even though they all claim not to care anymore. You can be such an idiot at times. This is the most relaxed a fair few of us probably have been about a season. I just find it quite bizarre that some people treat this as some sort of clean slate every season with the "let's just see what happens" mentality. Ashley has steered this club from one catastrophe to the next. Losing Benitez was one such catastrophe, and he just compounded it tenfold by appointing Bruce. Their records speak for themselves. 100% agree , i guess the "let's just see what happens" stuff is all some people can do, it's the reality of continuation i suppose. For me it's because I'm obviously going to keep supporting Newcastle United and be emotionally invested in it, just as everyone posting in this thread today is one way or another, whether they like it or not. And whilst I'd be far happier with Rafa still here, I'm willing to try and call what I see on the screen as it is and not look at everything purely comparatively through a pre-determined negative lens, as I think it skews what is actually there and is therefore not smart. I'm sure we'll all be back next week, looking on with at least some level of excitement and interest at what the players can produce. I don't doubt that, the only thing the excitement and interest is not me right now. I've never felt so flat, depressed and totally down hearted watching us, i have nothing, not looking forward to a game, no warm feeling as a game approaches, weirdly i never felt this bad under Pardew, this is different to that time. That's fine, I just think it's a shame that in reading this forum, it comes across like there's only one type, or one approach to being a Newcastle supporter that is correct, and anything that veers away from that is looked upon with a kind of weird manufactured anger. Unless you're being heavily critical of everything NUFC at any given time, then you're bombarded with a frenzy of people telling you how wrong you are. It's a bit silly really.

And the game has changed since he was stinking it up then. I feel no abject misery with this loss. In fact, I'll be quite happy if this dogshit club goes down. It's no longer Newcastle but a twisted doppelganger, as far as I'm concerned. In Steve Bruce parlance, I feel quietly confident about this season. Fair enough man

Ah, the old 'nothing the poster said is inherently wrong and I have no points to counter anything said so I'll just insert a smiley'... classic, classic. Not a lot to suggest Rafa’s tactics would have got us a win there? Are you on drugs? Remember us beating Man City?? We were beaten 11 times out of 12 against the top 6. It was clearly no formality. We all know Bruce isn't as good as Rafa, but I don't see the point in sharpening the knives because we failed to beat an albeit weakened Arsenal side. You thought that Bruce handled this game well then I presume? Happy enough with the shape and general discipline yeah? Nope. The shape after 55 minutes was terrible, we lacked any organisation as soon as Shelvey went off. Wasn't great. First half we had some spells where we were the better team however.

Let’s not forget last season we won 1 game out of 12 against the top 6. There’s not a lot to suggest the superior tactics of Rafa would have got us the win there. I’m willing to be patient with the new lads, Joelinton & Almiron will need time to work together, and something has to be worked out between Shelvey & Longstaff, as Longstaff was unrecognisable from last year, whereas Shelvey was integral. So if we’re playing 3, it will need to be organised/defined a bit better.

Oh do fuck off. I’m sick of this attitude of trying to say how much people hate Newcastle United and want them to lose. Are the owners curbs? Yes. Is the manager out of his depth? Yes A lot of us have with a heavy heart given up our season tickets etc. We still want us to win though. People coming in here and rubbing our faces in it isn’t helping and it’s exactly that attitude why theirs 47k there today and not less. You want to support teams who play us, we’ll join there forums, better still sign up for an account on RTG.

NUFC vs Arsenal - 11/8/19 @ 2pm (Live on Sky Sports)

Strong bench, which is odd. It's quality. They'll be hoping they don't need to rely on Lacazette & Pepe with their fitness concerns, but they might have to. Can see this being level late into the game. -

That Arsenal side looks wank. Their bench is insanely strong though. -

Can't deny that appreciation for what the players did, under Rafa. I want to watch Longstaff turn into the leagues best midfielder, I want to see Almiron play with that infectious smile, every week. I want to watch Schar take a shower. Not interested in the new players, or Buce, or the club. In an ideal world Ashley will recieve abuse from Level 7 and he and Charnley will go up to sort out the abusers, and they both get in each others way, causing them to both fall, tragically to their deaths. Maybe Bishop and Barnes could break Charnley's fall, and Cameron Diaz can take care of them, for the rest of their lives. -

Looking forward to it. No idea about the result but I'm looking forward to seeing Longstaff, Schar, Almiron & the new lads play (from the comfort of my home - before the Soviets start). -
Half of their line up are McSomebodies. McSunderland AFC.
-
Probably right there. Liverpool have Matip, Shaqiri, Origi, Man City have Otamendi, Bernardo Silva & Gabriel Jesus. Class above. If Bernardo sits on the bench this season for any considerable stint it's a travesty for the premier league viewers.
-
2-3 weeks at the earliest.
-
Rodri loves a tactical foul.
-
Why isn't Bernardo Silva playing? Best in the league him.
-
Everton, West Ham, Wolves.

Aye was hoping he wouldn’t translate in the Prem but he’s really taken to it. Yes, just like Steve Mounie opening day 2017. Pukki is four times the player Mounie is tho. I'm no mathematician, I'll have to concede the point.

Something about that seems odd to me. Surely a journey to Newcastle on a team bus or plane can't be that much of a risk? I mean you would think they'd have left their houses to train since the incident - surely that's more risky if anything?
