I agree it is not on Ten Hag but as the manager he should be saying I don't want him and the club should be backing him, ultimately regardless of his worth the club should be looking at who is more important, the manager or some scrote, if they feel Greenwood is more important than the manager and team and fan unity then they are on a dangerous path that won't end well.

Possibly but what is an asset worth if no-one will touch him with a bargepole?, no club in the UK would take him, look how bad it was for Chad Evans and things have moved on since then, really I could only see him playing in Turkey, Saudi etc, no disrespect to those places, and if he moves there he is never going to have the career he could have. You have to question the moral values of Ten Hag etc if he is happy for his paymasters to force the player back on him, as I say it's a no win situation for all so better to let him rot and release.

Looking from the outside this is a right mess, yes sometimes people make mistakes in life and should be supported but sometimes things cross a line and this is one. Regardless of the case been dropped, dodgy in itself he is a right little cunt. I think the club are terrified to sack him as he will sue them and also there seems to be some old boys club thinking in he was just been a lad etc. Yes he has not been charged with anything so technically he has not done anything wrong but everyone knows that is bollocks but his employment status is protected by law, they should just let him run out his contract in the reserves and then release him, but if I was there I would be concerned about his influence and impact on the junior players, there is bound to be a few idiots in the ranks who would see him as the big man, they should have sent him off on loan to another country and tried to forget about him.

Totally predictable that he wants the money he signed up for, I don't blame him as he thought he was there for life but at the same time it is disappointing that a player isn't taking the chance to get his career back on track. A couple of league Cup appearances, training with the kids then he will probably move in January for a big signing on fee when west ham are down the bottom, unless Southgate keeps picking him then he will stay and stink the place out.

Lol that Chelsea back three with a 50 year old Brazilian in the middle, Liverpool are going to rip them to bits
-
Great result against a good team who I expect to do well this season, there was an aspect of first game, new players, a few loose passes etc but when we are fully up to speed as per last season we are going to be great.

He was excellent today

It has always been the case, Van Persie then Rooney, then Kane I think next year they need to do something different with the bonus points to try and balance it out instead of a straight double for the captain, no idea what but that's up to them to sort out.
-
Will he play again or will he not! Boom boom
-
Still not 100% on my team, as long as I don't have to play my wild card in the first fee weeks I will be happy.
-
We need a young striker to learn from Wilson and provide cover for him and Isak, I have horrible visons of history repeating itself when we were only left with Jon Dal Tommason to cover upfront and out of position
-
Can't help but think we should have signed a young up and coming striker to learn from Wilson this season, play a few cup games etc. I don't think Wilson will be here next year and we do seem a bit light up front, we know Wilson will only feature or be fit for about 70% of the games this year and with the extra ones we have it is a big ask for Isak to run the line for all of them for the majority, I do think he will be first choice. I just think it would have been a good opportunity to get a young lad in to learn the trade, and get him ready for next season, no idea who but a bit disappointed the scouting team having got anyone in yet.

Unless I have got it wrong, was he not a free agent who turned down an offer from SA, signed back up for Fulham and then they are potentially going to get a transfer fee for him?
-
If the league are looking at the maxi transfer then they have got to look at this if he moves for money.
-
Personally I don't really care if he is wrong, a bit of itk is fun and breaks up the boredom of the summer, if you believe them or hang on their every world then you have an issue, calling them out for been wrong is as bad as pretending you have contacts in the club, just enjoy the fact that we are actually buying decent players for once.
-
Don't worry the whole SA league project is just a front to funnel money to us for players we don't need, the proof is another club giving Stevie G a managers job!, I mean come on no club can be that desperate for a manager!
-
They did, that's why the asking price went up!
-
Yeah like that, too fat and old though to be buying football shirts for myself though

Limited player, like so many under our limited ownership and managers over the years, was probably all we could attract at the time, seems to want to continue his career instead of picking up free money to clock in 9-5 and do nothing like some others so good luck, thanks for trying your part in one of the worst periods in history for the club. A couple of quid in the bank and another free locker at the training ground.
-
Fantastic, well chuffed for him, hopefully he will kick on this season. Has anyone checked out the bitter tears on the grand old team or whatever they call it?
-
Wow, great saves
-
A good chance for himself and one created for his mate in the space of a couple of minutes, looking good so far
-
So if we get these two wingers, fingers crossed, then what's left?. A starting left back, a centre half to rival / upgrade Schar and a young understudy striker to learn of Wilson before becoming his replacement next year?
-
Maxi is a good player I just don't think he fits the team now, he was the one bright light for years but now seems out of place. We need to accept as we develop as a club players will move on and I think it is his time. Thanks for the memories, thanks for the joy, thanks for the passion and thanks for been the antidote to Bruce Ball, but also thanks for the £'s to help us improve the squad, it will be others next year and is just part and parcel of our journey.
