See my response above. Not a flukey win at all. Eddie is the man.
-
Spot on. We were pretty average today so an OUTSTANDING team would have put us to the sword. Your team weren't outstanding Brendan, you were outdone by a better coach/manager.
-
He's an awful header of a ball actually. His timing is atrocious. Just saying.
-
We deserved this win!
-
Not much riding on it? Premier survival?
-
Nonsense. Probably 36 points guarantees safety.
-
Fickin Butt? Are you kidding me? I agree on your sentiments regarding Jenas by the way. Nicky Butt, talented? Sorry not having it.
-
That's probably the worst Newcastle have played since Eddie Howe took control, yet we still outplayed Everton. They have serious problems and making ridiculous loud music rallying call to arms isn't going to help and was embarrassing really. However your fans were loud tonight.

Absolutely this. Horrific "hospital" ball by Joelinton to Max which led to their goal.
-
And while I'm still annoyed, I wish to add my displeasure at Dubravka. Christ! Make it easy for the goalscorer why don't you? Awful positioning.
-
Keep what up though? Everton were awful. No shape whatsoever and basically running aimlessly around for most of the time. We should have stuffed them but we weren't good enough on the night, simples.
-
We should never have lost this game. Joelinton was rubbish all night and at fault for the goal ( silly hospital pass to Max).
-
I also thought the same, however Haverrz apologised profusely in his after match interview.
-
Fair play to Jamie Redknapp as he was furious that it wasn't a penalty. Other than that, all the studio team talked about was the marvellous goal by Havertz.
-
Walker Peters should have been booked for grabbing the ball whilst he was on the floor.
-
When you look at Southampton's home form and then put our current form into the equation then this is a nailed on draw. I go for 1-1.
-
He was pretty poor yesterday and at fault for their goal. Look, we lavish praise on him when he has a good game so there is nothing wrong or negative in pointing out he was gash yesterday. Do you just want us to say "he was great" all the time? In my opinion I think he has been poor to average since he came back from injury.
-
Whatever. He just wouldn't come off his line which was so frustrating.
-
West Ham should be winning this.
-
He never claimed one ball from a corner and every one was delivered into the six yard box (keeper terrortory). Brighton's goalkeeper collected nearly all crosses into his six yard box (Schar goal aside). We need a new keeper and I will bet my last dollar Dubravka will be replaced fairly early.
