I really don’t get all this negativity towards NCSL. The blokes put his own money in (all money was refunded to the people from the original Wor Funds) he is trying to do something it may not work it may well be pointless but at least he is doing something. You then have people questioning him and wanting to know everything and being negative. If you don’t agree with what he is doing then just ignore him. If it is through ARAMCO we will experience the same problems as PIF because ARAMCO is owned 100% by the Saudi government. It's listed on the Saudi stock exchange now. Most valuable company in the world I believe. I assume the Saudi Government own a large % of it but presumably not all as it can be publically traded. I got the impression that his Aramco comment was more in relation to getting around FFP with them as Man City style sponsors, rather than outright purchasers/replacing PIF. I think that is his own interpretation in response to someone else mentioning it would take time to build a good team even in the event of a takeover because of FFP. That is how I read it also

Yeah I'm with you, that makes no sense. I think Kennedy is making too much of the takeover recently. He's the only journalist actively covering it and he went big on the NCSL stuff and specifically said they'd take the PL to court which hasn't happened. There is no way Wraith is his source, Wraith knows next to nothing imo and neither do the dentist or the other guy. I do think Kennedy is reporting in good faith but he is wrongly getting people's hopes up with concrete evidence. He always caveats his articles with the fact he's "hopeful" rather than "confident" but he's really pushing the positive narrative hard and I can't stand his "join the dots" nonsense. I would love for the takeover to go through and I do think there is stuff going on with regards to Ashley's legal action/arbitration but I genuinely don't think anyone knows how it's progressing outside of those directly involved. Wasn’t it the fact the owners of the building didn’t want the east stand expanded due to it blocking the light? Nothing to do with the fact it is a grade listed building. If it’s owned by any potential club owner then you wouldn’t have someone stopping any expansion?
