  1. It's a beautiful city. I live about two hours north of it and have just been given a reason to go watch the Girondins! Can't wait.
  2. Would somebody please tell me I'm not living in an alternative world..... The mighty NUFC have beaten Oxford, Rochdale, Morecambe and now Newport County? Fuck me, we've beaten some awesome teams here.......I bet the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool and even Man fecking United are scared shitless of us...... Bwucie has taken us to a totally different level.... How much lower can we go?
  3. Let me think.......Do I prefer the wisdom of Klopp - probably the best manager in the world right now, or a has been ex pro with a shocking managerial record (Both Keane and Bwucie) Durrr, it's a tough call.
  4. This idiot just spouts complete and utter crap - how does he get away with it?? Where are the real press boys and pundits that call him out for what he is - the worst manager in the Premier League in every aspect with every club. Hartlepool are too good for him.
  5. That's truly shocking. This should be shown on every sky channel by his so called super mates who says he's doing a great job. This just confirms that he's a fucking idiot of a dinosaur: https://www.themag.co.uk/2020/07/steve-bruce-says-just-unlucky-with-injuries-but-just-look-at-these-quotes-from-his-previous-clubs-newcastle-united/
  6. Isn't this just irrelevant? Whether we sign half of Real Madrid's first team or any PL player who can't get into the 1st team, with Bwucie as a manager (sic!) it simply doesn't matter. His coaching skills (skills?) will nullify any signing. As has already been proved. Waste of time and effort speculating.....
  7. "I think we're at a bigger disadvantage because of what our crowd brings us" #NUFC I'd say we're at an absolute disadvantage because of your complete ineptitude. Go fuck off. Now
  8. "Hope we're good enough". "That's always been my philosophy". That's not a fucking philosophy. It makes you despair, doesn't it? How on earth the press and Sky and all his alleged mates don't completely destroy him and his unbelievable non tactics is beyond belief.
  9. There are two massive issues surrounding Joelinton: 1. His massive transfer fee 2. His footballing ability. 1. I am pretty certain that we all think his transfer fee (even before he signed for us) was mega inflated. Rafa himself said 'no' and that he was not worth even £20m. It seems bizarre that Ashley, who notoriously spends as little as he can, would break the bank on a relatively unknown and unproven goal scorer. Did he honestly believe that Joelinton would come in, take the premiership by storm, score 25 goals and then go to Real Madrid for £80m? Not a chance in hell. I am firmly of the belief, as are many others, that this deal was crooked and that £40m did not change hands. But, of course, we can't prove it. 2. The people who defend him and say he should be given a chance are partly right. He did well enough in his last season in Germany, but with a vastly respected, innovative and intelligent coach, and a very good team set up. We have none of those things. Playing him week after week, in the same team formation, with the same tactics (tactics?) is just making the same mistake time after time in the hope that it will cure itself by accident. It doesn't work like that. I have seen nothing, not one iota, of ability, skill, strikers awareness, aggression and hunger for goals that any good striker needs. Just by being on the pitch gives him, mathematically, a chance to score 5 or so goals in a season. Joelinton hasn't even managed that. Solution: 1. Stick with him, change the manager, system and tactics. Ain't going to happen. 2. Send him back to Germany on loan to see if he can rekindle an ounce of his previous touch, and hope that we get an offer that minimises the loss to around £20m. With Bruce as our manager (weeps tears just typing it) I really don't see the point of persevering with him in the magical and groundless hope that he will suddenly turn into a striker.
  10. You know this from? No orders.
  11. Resurrected this as it's a while since the last comment. With the new signings (blow my socks off they do) what role does anyone see for Joel now? Sub? Sidekick to Wilson? Given away?
  12. Terrific result. Sick of everyone complaining. We're playing some great football and were really unlucky today against a very good Stoke City team. The omens are looking great for the season ahead - I'm sure we'll scare a lot of teams even better than Stoke. Bruce is just the man!!
  13. If our 'pre season' (words used very loosely) is anything to go by, coupled with our amazing transfer window (just look at the high quality players we're linked with or have signed) I'd suggest we're in for a barn storming season. Really can't wait for it to kick off! Not....
  14. I'm pretty much in agreement with this. There is no doubt that the PL & PIF/Stavely were getting very tied up in knots and the danger of public humiliation/BEin issue/continued scrutiny/bad press/Top 5 clubs involvement was all getting too much for everyone. So, the obvious solution was to withdraw the bid and declare publicly that it was dead. Then continue negotiations behind closed doors. So the issue of who heads the bid, who will run NUFC, KSA involvement etc could all be sorted out and agreed (or not) in private. Then, and only then, could a new bid and PL approval be announced. This is very logical but not necessarily true! We can only hope...........
  15. Mum had cancer Yeah I checked after I posted. I always felt that he should have played more games whilst he was here. Good all-round midfield player. Yeah, Bobby didn't use him anywhere near enough after his first season. Maybe there was a reason for that? Perhaps Bobby didn't rate him either?
  16. For all of you who are interested, I have been able to obtain a confidential list of all of our transfer targets................... It will be an amazing summer for us.
  17. Jees, this whole thread is pointless........ The names being mentioned are just horrendous......
  18. Exactly the opposite is true. He will be given loads of time.
  19. Couldn't agree more. If somebody offered me a league title but that time would have never existed, I'd say no thanks. I'm with you 100%. I wouldn't swap a single thing. Winning the title with Rafa (who I could also get emotional about) would not have been the same. Those few years, man they were simply the best.
  20. What is there to say about the man God? That he gave me the most exciting time I've had in my life? Watching his teams was simply the best. He will forever be special. He knew exactly what we wanted and craved for, and delivered it in bucket loads. It would have been the icing on the cake to have won the league, but, you know, missing out on that has not dimmed the glory he gave our club, our fans, the city. ...and look at what we have now....
  21. After the glorious football City have provided us with over the last few years, one 'average for them but stunning for anyone else' season and you think the manager should go? Replaced with? Bruce, perhaps? Your comment is a joke.....
  22. Is anyone else as pissed off as I am about our hero's total lack of comment or support for what we are trying to achieve? Has he been so totally swallowed up by the commercial income, corporate talk and money that he has forgotten his roots? He could have been a shining light in the fight against the PL. Local hero to zero? so incredibly sad - wake up AS, wake up!
  23. This is never going to be resolved quickly. The PL will certainly not cave in and make a quick decision - how could they? The threats of legal action may spur them on, but it won't make them change their mind. This is always assuming the bid still stands. We don't know that, despite Stavelys comments. All the MP's have done is demand clarity and transparency. They've not demanded the approval of the purchase. PL will not crumble........sadly.
  24. OK, I've lost the last few days and have no idea what's been written on the 1,795,264 pages of this thread since the announcement that Stavely & co have made about withdrawing the offer. It could well be that what I'm about to type has been said a thousand times, so if it has then I apologise, but here goes... Could it be that Stavely, Saudis et all had got so pissed off with PL prevarications, inane irrelevant questions that went on and on and on that they just said 'fuck them, let's withdraw the offer, stop all talk about future funding and TV bidding. Let them stew in their own juice and sit and think, in the cold light of the day, that they've been arseholes and will maybe regret this massively in the days and weeks to come'. 'We'll sit back, let them stew and when the shit has settled, come back with another bid but on our terms with the crap that the PL have been dishing out on us'. The Saudi's and Amanda are very far from stupid and it's the sort of tactic I've used a few times in my corporate career. It's worked almost every single time. ...or am I just Strawing at the clutches?
