Tell me what he does. Is he a goal threat? No. Has he got a hell of a shot? No. Is he good in the air? No. Is he a creative player carving out chances for others? No. He is no Iniesta thats for sure. Defense splitting passes? No. Does he give the ball away consistently and fall onto the ground waving his arms? Yes. Does he run around all day? Yes he can. Call me old fashioned but I like my forwards to score occasionally and make a nuisance of themselves in the box creating space for others.

If that job includes not scoring or making goals but running around aimlessly then I'm right behind Rafa. Perez is the man. BY the way Rafa, I can do that and I'm a lot cheaper.
-
He might've run around but he did next to nothing else. That is the minimum you expect. He gave away the ball cheaply and fell over a lot, admittedly to get a few free kicks but that was all. He needs to go.
-
Yes, his last few games have been chalk and cheese. Question is why?

Perez was excellent today? You have to be kidding me. Or you didn't watch the match. One of the two.

Is his contract up?

I said before it doesn't make any sense to rush Slimani back from injury for this game. Given Rafa's likely tactics he'd be lost up front on his own. Hoping we get something but realistically I doubt it. -
We’ve lost a hell of a lot more points through having forwards and wingers who are so inept they can barely muster a goal between them. And a defense that is quite highly rated in spite of the fact that they are under pressure for huge amounts of the game. Every game.

Can’t say that I’ve been that impressed by LeJeune. Certainly not enough to clamour for his inclusion in the team from what I’ve seen so far.
-
Never thought I’d say it but so would I. Even if he did nothing else, he would’ve scored that penalty.
-
Why are wingers singled out in particular? You can say any player in any position needs to be playing consistently. My point is that with world class coaching they aren’t getting much better if at all even on the basics. Atsu and Perez......FFS look up and play the simple quick pass at times rather than running up you’re arse.
-
Marginally, but that's all. Unfair to form an opinion that includes how he's playing at these days?
-
I really mean improvement in individuals as opposed to setting a team tactically to do a job. Lascelles is a player that has clearly improved. Is that down to coaching?
-
It makes you stop and think about coaching and whether it actually makes a difference. Very few of our players seem to be improving and some have even gone back. Atsu is 26 and should be in his so-called peak years and yet doesn't seem to get any better. He may have the odd good game but his overall play contributes to why we are in trouble. No consistency at all. Perez is no better than when he came here. Hayden is hardly making strides. Yedlin still seems to struggle with the concept of defending. Haidara? List goes on.

Shelvey for Perez. I don't see the point in playing Perez anytime. A couple of flashes a season and he spends the rest of his time missing chances, weakly losing the ball and sitting on his arse with his hands in the air. -
I don't want to see any clubs going to the wall. Bad for football all round.

Mbemba is dodgy at best. Much prefer Clark given our options.

Islam Slimani - Returned to Leicester

I wouldn't risk Slimani if he isn't fully fit. Certainly wouldn't rush him back for man.utd.
