I've never rated but him overall Diame had a good game today. Or first half at least. Disappeared along with the others in second half. I wish he would stop these little flicks that give the ball away so often in our own half though

At this level, Gayle is shite. Perez is shite. Joselu is shite. I'm sick of seeing all of them and if we go down you can point the finger at their performances as the main reason.

Let's hope the new bloke is more like Peter Schmeichel than Matz Sels.

I thought Darlow was dodgy today. He does make some good saves I'll give him that, but he seems lost at crosses and certainly does not dominate the box. He plays like a lightweight just like perez and gayle up front.

Thought we defended well today and had the luck. Considering the ball kept coming back continually throughout the second half, all the back four did OK given that Perez and Gayle are worthless up front and can't hold up the ball. If Slimani is touch and go for man. u I wouldn't risk him. We need him fully fit and I don't see us troubling them.

Plenty of skill, shite attitude,waste of talent, waste of time at virtually every club he went to. But of course its never his fault. But on his day unplayable when he could be arsed.

I'd agree we've had a lot of poor forwards over the years but I'm struggling to think of anybody worse than joselu who has played as many games.

Clearly neither Joselu or Gayle can score a goal between them. Kebabs or no kebabs, if Mitrovic coiuld’ve scored a few goals to keeps us in the premier league then give him the ones with extra meat. So our last relegation season completely didn't happen now. His consistent, constant, legendary misses that relegated us have been excised from collective memory by Men in Black. Not at all. But when the other two can’t score and Rafa keeps juggling the pair of them, at some point you have to say let’s try a 3rd option. Let’s face it, it can’t get any worse can it? You don't think Mitro's attitude might have had something to do with it? If a player is acting up, some managers won't have them anywhere near the first team because they are bad for morale. Rafa has never been a soft touch and personally I would prefer that than a manager who has no backbone whatsoever and will indulge every player strop. I don't know anything about Mitro's attitude or what goes on behind the scenes. If Rafa has come out and stated he's not picking him because he is fat, out of shape and not committed then I missed it and I'd understand getting shot of him. Barring that, I think Mitro warranted the opportunities given the other two as he couldn't do any worse. In fact, If Rafa picked somebody out of the crowd they would probably be better than Joselu.Man or woman.

I’ve seen a ten year old girl kick the ball harder than Joselu. In haven’t seen any evidence that suggests he is a good finisher or that he has any ability to lead a line. Certainly not at this level.

I think the point is that when you only have Joselu, who is an absolute dog and Gayle who is not far behind then there surely have been times when a case could be made for Mitrovic. Freezing him out seems very childish to me given our precarious situation when we need all the help we can get.

It’s highly likely that no efforts are being made. Fat Mike has a minion to throw out a couple of one liners and that’s about it. I hear Ronaldo is unsettled and Newcastle are interested.

I have to disagree. If fit he is far better than anybody we have, although I agree that bar is low. I’ll be surprised if we sign anybody in this price range that is better.

Reaching, but if Shane Long is fit, which he might not be again I’d offer 10 mill for him. Not prolific but leads the line well and holds up the ball.

In all fairness, I think his point is that there is no point in buying somebody just because they have a pulse. If they’ve gone through all the players on the list with no result what do you do if you the fat man is only prepared to spend 15 mill? Everybody will jack the price of a 10 mill striker up to 15 mill knowing our desperation. Yes, we all know you get nowt for 10 mill these days. Panic and give a 3 year contract to a dog? How many times have we been down that road? That’s why we have Joselu now. Just saying like. No easy answer here when FMA is pulling the strings.

You have to believe Rafa would not go along with any player who is currently injured.

I do believe that Sturridge would've put away some of those chances that gayle has missed making a big difference to out points. And created more as well.

No brainer. A fit Sturridge who hopefully wants to make a point and claim a WC spot, or a striker who has never played at the top level and most people have never heard of. Regroup over the summer with new owners.

I wouldn’t agree entirely but there is certainly some truth in that. Lascelles and Darlow are much improved. But a lot of others have either not improved or got steadily worse.
