I had taken a bit of a step back from posting on match days for my mental health as the people who disagreed with me being so direct and insulting were really taking their toll. I'll stop voicing my opinions again.

This nails it for me. All the talk of untapped potential feels like blind optimism. Gordon becoming a player who can deliver to the standard we are looking to reach is far from a certainty. Couple that in with what he brings straight away (his poor record for attacking contributions) and I just cannot fathom why we've used so much of our budget on him midway through the season.

He hasn't scored or assisted since October. His expecter goals and expected assists for the last 365 days are on the floor. Really confusing January signing.

Wilson for Gordon at half time is what we need.

It is comments like this which put me off using the forum on match days.

I don't see the technical ability.

Sick of Gordon now. He's very low quality.

So Tarkowski broke Longstaff's foot with a late and overly forcefull challenge, and both the referee and VAR decided it wasn't a foul? Incompetence is rife.- 320 replies

It looked like Trippier didn't think Longstaff could continue playing to a high enough standard with the knock. Trippier was shouting at Longstaff to go off, I think. -
Faully.

Yeah, his passing was precise and quick. Notably better than Burn. People will remember that one incident where he got bodied and that will end up being what is focused on. He did a lot right yesterday. Wasn't a bad performance, at all.

Maybe we're now looking at a better pool of players given our league position?
-
Self interest. Villa have one less position at the top of the league to fight for.

Will Liverpool catch Man Utd for 4th spot?

Can we play another half hour?

"We can look at many reasons why it happened and whilst myself, the Board, the coaches and players must all take collective responsibility, ultimately the responsibility is mine." "... and that is why Stellini has to go."
