What's the benefit, financially, for League One teams in ending the season as is? They don’t have to pay players who will potentially be out of contract anymore wages. They don’t have to pay stadium staff that is needed to play games. Apparently it’s only those who have an outside chance of getting promotion or need to play to ensure they don’t go down who want to carry on playing. Most clubs with nothing to play for are happy to end the season now. So if you work on the assumption they all get a vote then, looking at the table, that's them pied off.
