  1. I'll never get over Luuk de Jong's shooting. It was like when you play footy in a bad dream and your legs are slow and your shot is weak, but it was happening on the pitch in real life. I would gamble on another De Jong like, what's one more at this point.
  2. For all we take the mick out of 'pashun', it was nice to see some genuine care and emotion on display, particularly when interacting with the players. It's like he's actually engaged in the job he's here to do...

    Joelinton

This man has the strength and stamina of 10 men. Are you even down a man when you have Joelinton on the pitch? What a performance.
  4. Krul should've saved that mind. But glad he didn't!
  5. The only reason I have a modicum of hope this second half is because Steve Bruce is no longer our manager.
  6. Also, nay idea why Lewis hasn't been playing. An actual left back at left back has made a difference.
  7. I think the crowd have been great so far. Only reason we have a chance is because this is at home.
  8. That kid is back man! Is it bring your kid to work day for the camera crew or something?
  9. Can practically hear their conversation
  10. Dubs is fantastic. Also, is there a screaming child right next to the mic on the BT coverage?

    Joelinton

Such a transformation. What is it? Being played in a more suitable position? One week of better coaching? Whatever it is, they should keep doing it.
  12. Haven't watched us live in a while but we should hang on to whoever this Joelinton fella is... Defence is an absolute shambles but is so refreshing to see bodies in the box and an attacking intent.
  13. Maybe it's all this recent talk of the 11/12 era team, but I'd take prime Ben Arfa, Tiote and Cabaye. That would keep us up.
  14. Bumped into him in IKEA of all places, as expected he was really canny. Absolutely my favourite player while he was with us, used to love his mazy dribbles regardless of what happened at the end of them
  15. I couldn't care less if we get relegated this season, but end up with the best manager to take us forward. Ashley is gone. Already won this season tbh.
  16. With the Man U loss today, surely the press will be campaigning for a return to management for the mighty Steve Bruce? So many pundits think highly of his experience and character, it makes perfect sense to give him the job.
  17. It should remain St James' Park. I can't believe we're having this conversation
  18. The lad who plays electric guitar on Northumberland Street once played a rendition of local hero, and I kid you not, people all around slowed down and stopped to listen like nothing I'd never seen before. It was inspirational, even if it was outside of Eat4Less
  19. I think they will be looking at things long term. It doesn't matter if Bruce is still here this week if you're thinking 5, 10 years ahead. Personally, if they have a long term strategy it doesn't even necessarily matter to me if we get relegated this season. If the investment comes, and good decisions are made to improve the club (like replacing Bruce), then the change we want will come.
  20. Even if by some extraordinary turn of events those complaints were successful, it is still a massive win. If the consortium were forced to sell, it wouldn't go back to Ashley, and we'd have less of a moral dilemma. We've won no matter what.
  21. Such a strange feeling. I've been putting more and more distance between myself and the club as the years have gone on. No longer attending games or even watching the highlights (if you can call them that). Not because of the performances, or our win loss ratio, but because of our ownerships apathy and clear neglect for the club. Now, it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, a weight I didn't even know I still had. Forget the money, forget potential signings, we have a club that tries again.
  22. If this happens today I will shake the hand of every man, woman, and child I see in town. COVID be damned!
  23. It's insane how positive every media outlet is. Must. Not. Hope.
