Lads , i think we need to lay off steve bruce a bit , lets not forget the real culprit here. Im all for anti ashley united fc propaganda until he dies but lets just leave bruce alone for now. Before he arrived , i presumed bruce was a fairly defensive minded manager. I suspect ashley has told him he must play attacking football as part of the deal. Its been mentioned a few times attacking this , attacking that.... Ashleys signings ashleys tactics.

I had a look in here before the match kicked off , and was disapointed to read some comments regarding a full house. However , i watched the game on NBC Sport and thought the coverage with regards to the boycott was good , they focused on empty seats and mentioned it a few times during the game. I was surprised there was a lot more empty seats in the east stand than i would of anticipated. The camera scrolled along various parts and there were 2's , 3's and 4's , little clusters of empty seats clearly dotted all over the place. Not easy to see at a glance from distance. If 42 or even 45k was the true attendance , then a big well done to all involved , its a great start , i think the wor flags lot and the rest of the ashley out groups should be commended for their efforts organising and sacrifices made for the cause.. Lets hope things start to snowball from here. Well done to all involved.

All the old school saw through Ashley and stopped going. Those were the lads and lasses who would shout, scream, sing and just generally go barmy getting the atmosphere going. The people who cared the most, who really supported the club f***ed off and we're left with the 'day out away from the missus' crowd. The attendance is going to be interesting , out of everyone i have spoken to recently who i know had a season ticket , everyone has told me they are staying away. I think - 40k would be great.

Im interested to see how big our injury list gets this season . after this last 3 yrs it can only deteriate through either badluck ,or poor training/conditioning /player motivation. It will remind us all how shallow our squads really are. No contingencies whatsoever , because it doesnt matter.

My thoughts too , or possibly lejeune. No way a nufc squad can have more than 4 capable defenders.

Relegation seems to be the target this season. I think its part of the advertising strategy. Lots of headines and publicity when we go down.then if we come back up after 8 month another load of publicity (like a brand refresher) Id imagine the new expensive player(s) will have watertight contracts with big buyouts which will keep them at the club if not met.thus maintaining a 'quality' championship squad .

I still cant believe people are being conned into putting money in the club. Ive decided to spend my match money on a flight to a big sporting event somewhere. Something memorable like the japan rugby world cup or abu dhabi grand prix or maybe the kentucky derby. Much more fun and value for money and great memories for life.
