  1. Everyone seems to be committing to the takeover going through. Gonna be a lot of embarrassment if it doesnt - hence maybe, just maybe, its happenning.
  2. I found who they were but couldnt establish a link to the takeover. More info here: https://not606.com/threads/takeover-covid-19-20.383026/page-2652
  3. Googling the names doesnt reveal much - at least to me.
  4. Bruces dad used to walk through Walkerville just about every single day for years. Lovely bloke.
  5. He's away? Again?? What an absolute charlatan
  6. Anyone know why he changed his name? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestor_El_Maestro
  7. Bit of a ramble so bear with me..... I'm still a member. I think its important for every club to have a supporters trust. The issues that a trust have dealt with such as disabled access, season ticket prices, health and safety , communication issues, all the 'boring' stuff - this is important. Its important that a fan organisation brings these matters to the attention of the club (regardless of whether any of it is acted upon). I don't think anyone would argue differently. While I appreciate that the trust has said it is not a protest group, this is somewhat of a cop out. They don't have to issue a press release calling Ashley a cunt, or mention that Bruce has a funny shaped nose. They dont even have to call the PL corrupt or even organise a protest at St James. But perhaps a more covert approach woud be better. They absolutely could do more. Theres a huge disconnect at the moment between the supporters and the club, and between the members and the trust. This gap needs closing. It will no doubt be a fine balancing act but the trust should be able to express everyones disatisfaction with the current state of affairs without pissing off members, fans and the club. The trust should be working hand in hand with its members and the club to make the club the best it can be for its fans. When it isnt, questions should be asked. As fans we need the trust more than ever - and they need to step up. Help me love my club again.
  8. Yeah but even thats flimsy at best. When you think about all the investments PIF have made, not just in the UK, not just in Europe, but worldwide, are the premier league suggesting that MBS is a hands on influence in all these investments? I mean, there literally arnt enough hours in the day. Any business/investment that he might want to influence would be a bit like Solomon servicing all his wives - ie hes gonna do a poor job.
  9. So is the PL QC saying contracts wernt exchanged? Therefore no loss??
  10. i think the 'loss' argument is a bit weak myself.
  11. Aye but as far as I can tell - the consortium are trying to buy the club 'properly' and arnt concealing anything via company structure or who would be a director. This then opens up the 'why Newcastle United', 'why follow your rules now' questions and becomes the anti competition angle - and even ask questions around the wider outside influence issues
  12. Exactly - the PL QC has, at length, set out the governing rules and isnt even finished as point 3 is still to make?? i think? If we can prove that those same rules have not been applied equally to every other club, and the ODT has to agreed every single year, then surely theyre fucked. Would look even worse if, for example, a club was taken over several years ago and the PL have rubber stamped concealed/dodgy ownership every year since....
  13. Might be talking out of my arse here but... The PL QC reliance on the PL rules, company structure and directors are going to be torn apart simply asking how those same rules applied to other PL clubs where it isnt even clear who the owners are and where clubs are being run by people who havent gone through the ODT.
  14. Fucks sake - not even 30 seconds
