They should be thankful - at least they’re not on the kafala system like loads of other foreign workers, and need permission to leave again. Nowt like indentured servitude

Mid-table is kicking on next season ...

I fast-forwarded to the goal with the sound off - was he getting grief? Has to be said, getting a ticket amongst Leeds fans doesn’t seem like the wisest of moves. Better counsel should be given to anyone thinking about doing that … edit: just watched. Uncalled for - but also completely expected. Didn’t realise who’s video it was - all I’ve ever seen about him was on here. Someone close to him needs to have a word with him - it’s very risky hopping into the home end at places like Leeds. The lad will end up getting hurt. Doesn’t make it right - but fuck me, it’s not a smart call

My reaction is mixed - has to be said, I like seeing Shelvey’s run to the away end, which is going full-on crackers I also want to break the fingers of any doylem who goes to a match and watches it through their phone

Farhad Moshiri - he chucked half a billion at them over the last few years. In return, they’ve complained about lack of communication and poor decisions being made. They haven’t received sneers in the press about being ungrateful, deluded, impossible etc - which we did with Ashley, despite the fact that that cunt never burned through half a billion in five years trying to improve us.
-
It doesn’t even make sense - visiting Saudi Arabia isn’t proof of that, and MBS is Chairman of PIF - who own us. I doubt that the PL’s FPPT missed that fact. Don’t get me wrong, the ‘separation’ was of course a load of bollocks - of course the KSA govt is effectively owners - but the silly Mackem twat’s ‘gotcha’ isn’t close to being proof of that

Leeds supporters have to praise themselves - no-one else will. Certainly no-one who’s ever been to Elland Road …

He looked like me attempting stretches

£25m to sink Burnley and give us a centre forward until Wilson returns is money well spent as far as I’m concerned. Even his presence and positioning - and the fact his goal threat is bigger than Gayle’s - means that lesser opposition are forced to pick him up at least. Hopefully he’ll get the odd goal between now and Wilson’s return. But having a proper centre forward makes the side more cohesive. If people are expecting the lad to be smashing them week in week out otherwise ‘he’s a waste of money’ then we’re on a hiding to nothing

They’ve been chronically mismanaged mind - and I don’t mean by Rafa. They got their sugar daddy windfall and spunked it on half-hearted wasters. They’re the 2020s version of Ridsdale’s Leeds
-
Fisty-pumps and pashun. That’s what Big Dunc demands - and gets. Bet that works, too *checks today’s score* oh
-
Thank fuck for that. That’s the best I’ve see our midfield play this season. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t need replacing - but I thought to a man they played well. Likewise our centre halves. There’s a couple of sentences I’ve haven’t written in yonks

Leeds away has many happy memories for me results-wise (despite the usual unpleasantness that goes with it). One of the best away ends I’d been in when we won there on Xmas week 20 years ago. Going down there the year after and literally dancing on their club’s self-dug grave (‘Peter Ridsdale is our friend … he sold Woodgate … sold us Woodgate on the cheap …’ etc etc). Fantastic stuff. No love lost for them for those of us of a certain age or older I’d imagine The worry, as ever with this side, is being overrun in midfield. With no-one brought in for this game, I hope Howe has an idea of how to prevent it. Leeds aren’t world-beaters; a positive result is hardly impossible. But if the side are as insipid as they have been the last few weeks, there is only one outcome here.

I know it hasn’t been seen as a priority, but if the rumour mill is correct (ha!), I reckon Leno would be a cracking signing. I don’t think it can be understated just how much our piss poor goalkeepers are making our piss poor back line even more nervous than they would be otherwise. Probably just the usual paper talk - but for me it would sit alongside our centre halves and centre mids in terms of an obvious area to strengthen. The team’s spine is shite
-
I can see the logic, but at the same time Norwich have a shocking run of fixtures to come - them winning keeps everyone in touching distance
-
Oh, I’m definitely not calling for Benitez to return / Howe to go. I just think Benitez would have been able to grind results out from the current rabble. I don’t think it would be a smart move to replace Howe right now
-
Yeah, was just saying similar to a mate the other day. Watching useless no-hopers like Pardew and Bruce somehow surviving for years has altered our perspective on this stuff. Howe would be coming under real pressure pretty soon at most clubs
-
We can count our lucky stars that there are three teams just as shite as we’ve been mind. We really should be long gone with one win in twenty-one
-
I think someone like Benitez would keep us up - but I’d rather watch a Newcastle team playing Howe’s brand of football if we survive.
-
100% agree. I think Howe should be there for the rest of the season - unless the situation becomes so desperate that a change is a last throw of the dice (if the next ten games are the same as the previous ten, but a change of manager might still produce a miracle). I like Howe’s footballing ethos - I like passing, pressing, attacking football. I think he’s a competent coach. But it’s a results business.

Cannot use a PowerPoint though *ducks*
