One of the many reasons Rafa is and will forever be far more appreciated by fans here is that he isn't tw*t Bruce. What a wretchedly pathetic, sad, small, bitter, hate filled, c*ntly thing to say. - Nice bloke!? Hate myself for ever feeling sorry for him (only a few fleeting seconds here and there mind) on a personal level. Abysmal football aside, he really is an absolute c**t. Going to be the most hated manager in the club history and brought it all on himself

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-bruce-son-newcastle-united-19675601.amp?__twitter_impression=true Those difficult fixtures included the easiest possible fixture any team could ask for in the league this season and the performance was horrendous. And Sheffield United is pretty much the game being he's being most judged on - which is so favourable to Bruce that the next best thing would be to always praise him regardless. We've played everybody this season. Throw in lower league Blackburn, Newport and Brentford and we've been horrible to watch in all of them, second best in nearly all of them and massively second best on more regular basis than any team should accept. We've gone backwards in every measure and are now noted for as being the most horrific team to watch. Its not those selective games he's being judged on but I take it that's the new mantra now that the 'better than Rafa' one has vanished without mention.

Exactly the f***ing same. No doubt there'll be identical quotes you could dig up from Sunderland etc. Worth remembering, Dean Smith, a manager who had only managed Walsall and Brentford took over from him, with the squad he had in that league, won 11 matches in a row, and took us from the arse end of the table to play off victory (including a semi final against Albion, a fixture Bruce would have bottled) and promotion I remember the match against Preston, which we drew 3-3, and Glen Whelan missed a 94th minute penalty - genuinely not joking, pretty much every one of us was hoping Whelan would miss because it would have finished Bruce off, and it did. An entirely unremarkable player who is remembered with utter fondness by our fans because he was the person who knocked the last nail into the Bruce coffin. Brummie, I say it quite often. If Bruce is as good as the pundits suggest he is, how f**king great must Dean Smith be yet he gets a fraction of the praise from what I see. Not just because Villa are better in every way shape and form than us right now but because they literally had the same tools to work with and Smith has achieved every remit, where Bruce failed.... and had a cabbage thrown at him. You must be as deluded as we are of course, is the only explanation.

Arsenal 3-0 Newcastle United - 18/01/2021 - post match from p22

This. Basically at the battered spouse level now. How's the battered grouse did ye say? -
See the look of disgust and anger on his face, after interrupting the question, that the sub-human reporter/human had the brass neck to try and finish his sentence and the question. Like it was beyond rude not to shut up the second Bruce butted in.
-
Since he's going to be doing things his way from now on, all the lavish praise heaped on him by his media mates and NUFC trolls has been proven to be cretinous. It should have been Ashley, Charnley or Wise that should have been getting that praise all along or maybe even Rafa.
-
Very likely to be Agnew or Clemence initially. Draw a couple games and that'll be that for the rest of this season. Ameobi probably gets promoted to being Steve #3. Just need someone to spout s**t to the media as if they're not a club lackey and to pretend to have a job to replace Shola and sorted.
-
How can he not fluke one game!!! where we have more of the ball or one game!! where we have statistically the better of it?? Even in trying to play bad that was previously probably an impossibility on the law of averages, but to actually be trying to do well and produce the exact opposite 100% of the time is incompetence beyond belief. *BTW 'Steve Dust' always makes me think of Stevie Nicks
-
Tried his best and despite that and the easiest cup runs to the quarter-finals the club has ever had he's only matched what Rafa (whom he's having a snide dig at), Pardew and Hughton managed not giving it everything and gone out at the first meeting with a team in the same decision in all four cup competitions without so much as scoring a goal. The afforementioned managers never boasted about this modest achievement either. Damned himself with feint praise.

Went for Bruce because of how long we've had to put up with him compared to Carver and there were two or three good performances under Carver in the short spell, our best this season under Bruce (and the vast majority of last season) is being one of two equally bad teams in an awful game. With Pardew, Ashley seemed more vividly the problem to me and would have gave Pardew a chance unshackled. He's since proven that that leniency was mistaken with his failures elsewhere without Ashley and his general d*ckheadedness continues. None of them played anywhere as badly as often as Bruce, we have had less possession in EVERY game this season!!! I always factor in that Kinnear did a great job at Wimbledon and like Carver was only temp. How odd that 99% of the fan base knew they'd be disasters and that's exactly what they were.
-
He's in trouble then. Exactly my thoughts. Bizarrely some on here think we are already safe from relegation. I think it's based on that they presume even more bizarrely that 30 points is enough. Falling ino the trap of assuming because we've somehow managed to get a certain amount of points throughout Bruce's reign a lot of which were totally undeserved that that will continue. We will continue to play abysmal football. If Bruce continues to be lucky despite that we'll be okay. If logic kicks in and we get what we deserve from games were far from safe.

I just want to enjoy watching/supporting us. Couldn’t care less about a trophy these days. That's probably it. Especially with the Leeds conversations of late. If were going to be going nowhere (and we are) its an utter waste of a life as a fan to watch our silage as opposed to experiencing the ups and downs of playing like Leeds, who may also not being going anywhere. But they're trying and have hope. Two other things, until 2007 that were rightly taken for granted here and everywhere else that would be like a paradise now.
-
Imagine being as lucky as Bruce is and yet still in league with only Carver for the most ineptly s**t manager I've have had the misfortune to be associated with. Its an incredible fete.
-
This is absolutely right and despite fully knowing this my overwhelming feeling is "Let justice be done though the heavens fall"
-
Came home from school during Euro 92 to my mam telling there was a player for Holland called "Bird crap" To be fair he wasn't that good for Inter Milan and his first season at Arsenal was that at best.
-
So we can see the end of at least one anti-football dinosaur.
-
How great is the Villa manager. He's replaced an apparent top manager who does good jobs and improved them 100% Yet the bloke he replaced with Villa going nowhere in the 2nd tier gets more praise and more defence
-
We're too impossible to predict. For all we know we could turn up next game as prime Brazil 1970s and smash it. We've always been like this! Liverpool won 6-1 in the League Cup in 2015 vs Southampton I think and we beat them a few days later under McClaren. Freak result but that's just Newcastle, a freak club in all that it does. Next league game after Brentford is Man City I think so who knows I know.........we are going to get mullered Absolutely. We've been statistically second best in every game this season and nearly every game last season. We get battered, dominated, embarrased at a rate of 1in3 and are incapable of playing well. Slightly the better of two bad teams in a bad game is as good as it gets. Weve just been distinctly second best to West Brom and Fulham at home. I couldn't be more certain that we'll be awful.
-
We play this turgid f***ing s**** every f***ing week, we are the definition of consistent. Get this absolute fraud out now man, we're at the worst I've ever seen us man. Just when you think he can't come off any thicker (or any more of a lying scammer) he claims were 'inconsistent' I've never seen us or anybody else be more consistent. Second best statistically and in possession in EVERY league game this season is actually astonishing. Even in trying to play badly deliberately you'd expect a couple of times not to just on account of the human factor.
-
The last people his comments are ever aimed at are the clubs fans. He's so one of us. They're for his mates in the media whose consumption of NUFC is the odd game, a look at the results and what Bruce says and for Ashley. The media chums and his master will hear we were in the game at Leeds until the last 15' because neither has any interest in watching us really. Ultimately just self-serving to scam a bit more coin out of this lark.
-
I've never seen such consistency. Second best statistically in every game, no blips is hard to do even if that's what you're aiming for. And battered at least once in every three games is how its felt under Bruce. Just checked this season and its probably worse in fairness. Brighton, Southampton, Man United, Spurs and Leeds. So after Man City and Liverpool we'll have been battered, dominated in every way in 7 of our 15 games, nearly half. That can't have happened even with the Derby's, Swindon's and mackems of the world and Bruce will certainly be the first manager to do that whilst 'doing a good job'.
-
Shocked, gutted, tears welling. To many, myself included, the greatest of all times, way football has gone and is going - thats peaked - and I guess that's what it is, at worst we'll only ever lose the greatest of all time once in whatever walk of life or sport - often it wont be in our lifetimes and this is that moment and it feels rank.

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United - 27/11/20@8pm - Live on Prime
Wolfcastle replied to 54's topic in Football
What's this about Bruce going to the Palace? About time too. Going off what I hear from the "experts" every single week he's a great manager doing a great job and frankly I can't think of anybody that's been as praised as much and not been knighted. -
On Total Sport recently we've had fans defending Bruce with the laurels of being ahead of Man United and Leeds, doing better than heralded Bielsa, also implied by Bluto Samuel. We will never play anywhere near as well as Leeds have today in any league game as long as Bruce is here. There's also the small matter of Leeds being newly promoted being ignored, when its kinda the point of the praise. Anyway. Not ahead of any of them now and were getting the results our performances deserve. Wonder if reality is knocking on the doors of these people now that if you play awfully every week you're not going to get bad results and few points - I'd say no entertainment but they already sacrificed entertainment 'no bothered' on the alter of defending Bruce. Think we might be better off playing less s**t personally.

Sleeve Bruce. Wish someone would roll him up in a carpet
