If the Saudis can't prise the club from Ashley's grip then what other c*** has any hope of doing so? The only hope myself and a lot of fans have is that of the club going backwards and being worthless to Ashley being when he'd sell. It is going backwards and its not going to stop with him here. Relegation is if not when and crowds are plumetting, free tickets have sampled utter dross - they weren't prepared to pay before I doubt many of them will now. If I knew he was there forever I'd completely give up on the club and move on, don't allow him to negatively effect your personal life even if he can/has taken the club away for all intents and purposes.

Anybody see the litte bit in the Mail? Being as its the regimes chosen propaganda bulletin board you can believe its getting info, bulls**t or otherwise, from Bishop. The narrative - which also gives the game away but its too much to ask for a journalist to see the link - is that Ashley will save £60million that he was going to lavish on Bruce in the window. You think that's the biggest crock of s**t - wait for this it also says Bruce, who moans endlessly about fixture congestion and injuries, has turned down the £60million preferring to spend it in the summer!!!! Now apparently Chris Mort is involved. Its so not happening.

Grimly its just hit that we are exactly where we were 12years ago. Club just waiting to get relegated (when not if), fakeovers and not an inch further forward. Its not hard to imagine saying the same thing in 12years. This 'leak' stuff - its just any excuse for Ashley not to sell and for the apologists to put that reality another way and pin the blame on anybody but the common denominator Ashley. At this point only trolling or insanity can excuse it.

Oxford United 2-3 Newcastle United - FA Cup 5th round @ WBA beckons

Were the' boo the team not the regime' gaggle booing or going boooruce, booooruce?! Even knowing what a c**t Ashley was from early doors, 10years ago I couldn't have forseen a stat as pathetic as that. 13years, 13years of this. FFS. -
‘‘Tis from me , can’t see them going down at all, gladly bet you £200 if you have the balls clever s**** ? Yes? I'm 52/48 re staying up but that's not good, not the improvement that is alluded to, no justification for the drop off in performance, certainly not enough has been done at this point and a s**t season by any measure pre-Ashley.

That was the narrative. 7 whole points better off at the same stage as the previous proven manager. A mighty 7 points above the relegation zone in December. Nothing could go wrong they told me. We had a manager doing a fantastic job, better than Benitez, they told me. Some of those same people are now predicting a struggle. What!?! with the top class manager doing a great job we have?! That dog don't hunt.

The club that wouldn't pay a few extra million for Woodgate, Aimar, Modric, that went years without spending a penny on players couldn't be stopped from spending £40million on Joelinton. -

The worst thing is its a stupid pointless free-kick to give away and two set-plays and thus we already know the post match analysis from the apologists head-coach included. -

If you can call it a game. Training ground excercise I thought. Bring on Man City and 1% possession. -

Interesting to see how Villa continue to cope with our lack-of-possession game now. Extremely comfortably you'd think. 74% possession here against these ffs -
Can't call it. Can't say I'm really bothered but the feeling I have on the good side is that it seems managers who get loads of grief off home support seem to stick one up that support more often than not. Thinking of Roeder at West Ham with us, Big Ron going back to Sheffield Wed with Villa and not that he got any stick but he was returning manager that wasn't liked Sam Manitee against us. Probably balances out overall but that's the feeling.

Yeah. The Barcelona game was a bit of a damp squib. Especially after an over-night (no sleep) train from Paris for a postponment and downpour. Couldn't get as into it as should have because it also had a feel of bonus time in the 2nd group phase. Inter was real but wasn't there. Was too young, probably, but wish I'd been in Bilbao albeit we didn't score, more than any other European away game.

I just get the horrible feeling they're lucking out again and getting someone to cover their loss making and financial dope them higher than their natural level. Getting investment for no reason at all. All the more so because we're being held back by our b*stard and how good NUFC and the area could be by comparison to them. I'd take my chances on both outfits punching their weight (club size, income, support)

Definitive proof, for the ignorant, that the owner not only doesn't act in the best interests of the club but directly against them. No single move could have been more damaging to the clubs future. What other club would sell off land by the stadium to have their attendance/expansion limited forever, when everybody knows the ground they currently have is already too small? Can the protests groups hammer this. Maybe get a comment from the football authorities about how this isn't counter productive and clear spite/greed/pillaging of a club? absolutely disgusted clubs as good as dead now - potential was all we had, our only draw for would be buyers, frankly the only hope we had, without that you have to assume were stuck with Ashley, which is simply not acceptable and impossible to invest in. It was anyway but now knowing, KNOWING, the club can't grow even if it wanted to- which we all know it doesn't, what is the fkn point?
-
Love this line from the I piece "What was once the escape has now become less appetising than the drudgery from which they wanted to escape." On top of rendering winning/losing promotion/relegation staying up or not all redundant and the certain knowledge that moving the club forward is not going to happen. He's killed the entire essence of being a fan and sporting integrity.
-
Well it is challenging maintaining a level of football when the owner deprives it of its own funds and holds it back in total contrast to its competitors. Everything's a challenge when the bare minumum effort is put in and the bare minimum effort would be a notch up for us. Just kill this club and lets start over ffs.
-
Money For Nothing surprised they don't turn their noses up at it because it reminds them of the song too much and Mag s**m Sting and Knopfler.
-
A few more negative comments about NUFC and how from the other end of the country we got under his skin would be advisable in the present climate. Toss the seals a fish.

North East football has never been worse or more depressing. Thank the lord local radio pundits and presenters refuse to see reality and their reassuring upbeatness is just the ticket as we continue to be hollowed out and relegated again!!! and they become a third tier mainstay and not even a big draw at that. Halcion days indeed.

Chelsea 1-0 Newcastle United - 19/10/19 - post match from pg5 (five)

Another attacking masterclass. Team tactics and club tactics are to do the absolute bare minimum and hope you get away with it. Halcion days. -
He cant go a week without a pro-Ashley piece. Its so blatantly PR, some might say propaganda that what gets on my nerves is that its allowed to pass for public interest or journalism. F*ck off Bluto.
-
Definitive proof the owner doesn't have the clubs best interests at heart - yet another example of Ashley benefiting to the exact same tune that club is damaged. Really think its over if this happens. It kills the only thing we have - potential. Then its just sit and wait for all these clubs to get their acts together, grow and pass us. If you know the club cant move forward it defeats the point of being a supporter. It'd be so hurtful, so self-sabotaging I'd have no choice but to completely give up on it.
-
Definitely. It was the Liverpool players that had finished 2nd in a bad year for 10years and HIS additions that were to blame for Liverpool becoming a mid-table club. Magnum had nowt to do with it.

The day is exactly the same sort of day it was for the 5-0. Takes me back.
