  1. Eez a crying, pant wetting disgrace, a disgrace iirc
  2. still think we've only a very small chance of winning the thing, can't see us beating 3 of the 4 likely semi-finalists (if we get there) but I do like to keep the dream alive as long as possible and hope for a turn up for the books in their games
  3. Same applies to that. They'll still make more from that side of things and can charge more than us in that arms race on account of having more demand for supply by virtue of the gloryhunters/day trippers built up on the success/relative success that we are forbidden of. Don't know what the situation is at West Ham re hospitality etc but they're no better off than they were relative to the teams above them at their new stadium.
  4. Still wouldn't. 8-10k more seats wont make up that difference. Its achillies paradox anyway, by the time we've got closer, they'll have increased their prices and maintained the gap
  5. Expectations are unrealistic given the squad we have and the PSR restrictions neither of which is the manager's fault. The Howe cycle average is probably exactly where we should be.
  6. So he has to over-achieve or he's a complete failure
  7. Think its wanting rid of the manager because he's not over-achieving and being at least in and amongst the six despite being disadvantaged compared to them. Challenging for Europe is where were at with the rules as they are and he's constantly hit that since he's been here and will probably continue to do so.
  8. If nothing changes in the rules, upper midtable and occasionally better is our lot in life. Apparently having clubs most of us detest being more competitive with City is worth that
  9. We've hit our peak for sure but I don't blame Howe at all.
  10. Annoying game. Annoying right off a season that was telegraphed even before it started to be honest. Totally ffp'd, all monentum gone.
  11. Europe means 5-7th for us. What gives a 5th-7th team the right to outplay and comfortably beat a team competing for the same thing? Didn't go on like that when we finished 4th, don't recall going to games under Keegan against top half sides just expecting to swat them aside.
  12. Play badly and win, piss and moan play well and lose, piss and moan basically only playing and winning well can placate some people, as if that's reasonable for anybody beyond Man City ffs
  13. Seems like the plan was to get some tweaks in that themselves would inevitably be found to be unlawful at some point but a quick fix that would hold for now. Seems like that's what the PL do best is just stall for time rather than deal with these sorts of things.
  14. But it would also leave the door open for those clubs to one day be able to compete, via the right takeover, might never happen but presently its certain not to happen. Maddening it wont even be considered. Solves almost everything that could be reasonably asked. Doesn't guarantee Spurs/Arsenal/Liverpool/Man U stay at the top and that's why it wont be considered.
  15. Could write everyone's debt to owners out of the equation, take Brighton's number and allow everyone to write off up to the same in FFP terms. So the less debt to owners everyone has the more ffp leeway they should be given to make things even and avoid any more of this horseshit. I'd be fine to call it quits after a 300m plus spend and live within their stupid system thereafter.
  16. The only reason for the APT FMV stuff at all is because they wanted to restrict certain clubs spending whilst crucially not hurting other clubs - so no actually fair blanket rule. Whether its Unlawful, or agreed with in principal, its surely all based on complete bullshit as a foundation anyway and that shouldn't be lost in all this.
  17. Wouldn't be surprised if the PL merely continued on with 'unlawful' practices. Feels like that's what this has been for a long time anyway. Could totally see the desire for limiting spending and wasn't against it but reading it all at that time it still felt blatantly like they were changing rules to hold Man City back, in a way that had been just fine before that. Even if that was for a club I didn't like (like say Chelsea under Abramovich) its still a bit cheaty, probably why it hadn't been done before.
  18. The whole thing is a mess really. By the letter of the rules Man CIty have been bending them and yet the only reason they or anybody else seeks to do that is because of rules brought in when the elites decided they didn't want anymore Chelsea's. Clubs spending more money than anybody else had never been a problem until then and neither apparently was dominance (Man United, Liverpool)
  19. Normal service?! If they don't get promoted, at some point early next season we'll have 1000 more points and goals than them in the Premier League, will either way in all reality (or 1110 as we speak in the last 40years for their 'football didn't start in 1992' contingent) Chew on that.
  20. As if people saying the club should have been ran 'properly' would have been okay with the results of that on the pitch.
  21. Nobody was saying before the game that we'd have that much possession, that many shots, corners and control, thought it would be a shit tight game across the board personally, perfectly reasonable to describe it as decent
  22. Because we were far far better away from home than the team we were playing.
