Arthur Cox as well, or at least he turned it down before it was offered. Didn't know about Hay, so that was even worse than I though

Probably at the root of it is were back to football and being a football club now and not wanting to get relegated which will damage everyone concerned and the decisions and lack of decisions are making that happen.
-
Exactly. You hire someone that knows about the business you've just bought even if just for an interim period. What owners ever are football people? Honestly just assumed that's exactly what they'd do straight away.

Any other consortium but theoretically 'the richest' in the world, very few would argue its not been a very poor show so far and that would be based on nothing but blind-faith. Still benefit of the doubt for being new but we wouldn't have gave McKeag the same for the exact same scenario in 88 (2nd bottom, November, drag out new manager search, turned down, underwhelming appointment in the end)

And our blokes 5th was far more of an achievement too.

I like Howe as a manager and man yet conversely am not at all confident he'd keep us up and pretty sure it wouldn't work out as can see him not getting time within the club or media down the line for bad results or imagine him building a club. The apparent ability to do that was Emery big plus, otherwise he wasn't anywhere near worth the fuss imho, a gamble like the rest and not a cert to succeed on anything logical. Its reminded me of the faff on to sign Paul Kitson. As statement and like literal statements here, its non-existent, the sort of thing Ashley could have pulled off, same with Martinez. The only statement that can be inferred is a bad one, teething problems but undeniably unprofessionally unimpressive so far

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Newcastle United: 06/11/21 @ 5.30pm (BT)

They'll dominate possession and the game. Only interest is if we make at least 4 changes and play slightly better. Don't even have the perverse pleasure of enjoying how bad we are as a refelection on Bruce. Nailed on grim watch. Only feel it could be a drubbing on account of that compounding the story so far and the media would love it, rather than logic. -
If he's having doubts, I dont care what about, simply scratch his name off the list and move on. He's not worth it and I wouldn't feel comfortable having someone here in any capacity that didn't jump at it, never seems to work. They've wasted enough time as is without trying to convince him.

Its us. Sky News (nevermind SSN) breaking news strap carried the Kenyon takeover rumour. Never seen it before or since used for conjecture like that.

On tenterhooks, not for Emery but for whether this is the s**t show it appears to be or not. Can only speak as I see it and it may all work out perfectly nevermind well, even by the end of this week, and who knows what has gone on behind the scenes but from what little we know and have seen, it has been a s**t show so far. Need a football person in to make the football decisions, what came first the chicken or the egg.

Has anybody alerted the Hounding Out of English Manager's Police over this?
-
great motto for a journalist 'until its done, its not done' nothing to contribute but reading out the final score which any c**t can do
-
Right now is it a case of Emery which way but loose?
-
Aye. Was 50 more people at this game than Sheffield Wed's home game with Bolton. Or considerably less if you knock off the away fans. In fact maybe their lowest of the season if you knock off the away fans. Nothing says cup final more than your opponents fans being totally apathetic about your visit like.

For me personally, this was the sort of player I feared we'd get initially in amongst many others and have a team of individuals like Man City initially. His contact is up though is it not? So wouldn't be surprised. Gonna need as many bodies as we can get to get out and stay out of this situation so wouldn't be surprised or unduly concerned.

You'd think being so aware of what goes on the middle east they'd know that, but no. Makes you wonder if they might just be hideously wrong about other things.
-
Aye, that's them. The classic 'they always hound out managers except for all the ones they dont whom they're wrong not to hound out' never wrong mackem logic
-
Emery won the Europa League but teams only win that because the mackems weren't invited I heard.
-
Certainly when I think about it, I recall no good Martinez footballing display against us over the years. Not Allardyce/Bruce stuff by any stretch of the imagination but nothing that stood out as being anything at all. The cup final however seemed very well managed in his defence but he's not applied it since that I've seen. He'd be/have been a step forward for us, but I think its an appointment we could have made under Ashley, so should be beyond that now.
-
Yes. We should remember that the undue calmness and bed-wetting debate has replaced not caring about losing, getting relegated and knowing that whoever the head-lackey is really makes no difference at all. Every other post woul have been 'who gives a f**k?' a month ago

If how flat I'd feel going into Brighton without changes is anything to go by, it can't be good for the team. The only thing flatter than that and the inevitable rotten game from our point of view would be not bringing in Schar, Dubs, Fernandez, Miggy and even Willock and/or Hendrick who have little to none on them from the last few weeks. Wholesale changes to the team is the best we can do and hope to see something.

Whilst they think it inarguably, undeniably and seamless that Washington, despite the 'ton' bit of the name meaning 'town' and being originally called 'Washington New Town' as in it was a new town, a town unto itself or its NE postcode and size became and is part of sunderland from some unbeknownst point so the baby could have its bottle, but anything much beyond Northumberland street is wrongful apropriation.
-
If we could get Benitez whilst owned by Ashley and in the relegation zone with 2months to go AND convince him to stay on, under Ashley in the championship. Why not?
-
With a different manager, especially in the circumstances of that game. I think Spurs is winnable for anybody generally, except us and Norwich.

But we've stopped monitoring planes. So slowly slowly catchy monkey
