Sheffield United Vs Newcastle United 24/09/23 @ 16:30 (Sky Sports)

Just a win will be fine and fully braced for it to not be free flowing, chances galore and a hiding though strong chance we could boss possession and chances -
-
Yeah, we had to applaud Recoba's goal back in the day because there were no Inter fans to do it.
-
Think he was questioning whether it was a corner and if the keeper got a touch because a goal-kick was given initially - if were thinking about the same incident.
-
Used to be a European football tradition when a colour clash occurred for the hosts to wear their away strip. Probably more for hawking the away kit now and certainly no reason for it in that fixture.
-
Wonder if people on Red Star Online are pissing and moaning about the performance
-
Think they did it to try and create something up top towarrds the end but it left us more vulnerable down the left clearly. Tricky balancing act. He was shot which doesn't help the appraisal tonight.
-
Bit of a classic away performance really, especially in Europe. People forget in hindsight that the home team in those games has chances and often good one. Got to expect something like that many chances at worse teams than Milan. Kyiv ran rings around us under Sir Bobby for example.
-
Trippier's been vital tonight.
-
Tonalli's just come back from a knock. He's obviously not 100%. Give the manager some credit ffs.
-
15mins left. Was that when the squeaky bum time started against Barca back in the day?
-
They're facts mind. He's new, obviously a top player, not quite gelled but may as well face it, that's the way it is at this point.
-
Were short in that position for sure. No options really. Could have used a loan, even Minteh would have assuaged me. Got into a bit of an Ameobi-Cisse situation where one can't play every game and so we plug away with just one.
-
If Milan put in the same display against PSG nobody would be surprised, but its not on against us.
-
Marseille, although whether 93 is modern debatable.
-
Got to take that. Was pretty sure we wouldn't be the best team but maybe not expecting them to have as many chances. They deserve to be ahead but that was a scenario I'd like to think was widely anticipated. People would be bitching if the roles were reversed. Just hope we scrape by with a point now we've got this far.

Been a cut above what were used to domestically.

Everybody else cranking up the music when the time comes? *Please tell me they wont go to commercial right then. -
Yes, they weren't too fussed about who won when we played in the champions league on previous occasions apparently, a sort of 'may the best team win' attitude I assume, not at all FTM and bile towards all of our players or anything, because we weren't evil then.
-
We sung "are you watching Sunderland" (a common chant amongst all fans at the time) when 3-0 against Barcelona. Wasn't like a middling 2nd tier club was at the forefront of our thoughts, it was just the ultimate "f**k you" of that brand of chant and local rival banter.

Used to fantasise about it as a primary school kid trying to get to sleep and even then knew it was total fantasy so could go nuts and have one of their top players playing for us by the time. Just getting in the playoffs that season was asking way too much. -
Got the result but still some bed wetting material, so were all happy. Just Milan next.
