I don't know if Howe is a problem tbh, I feel like it wouldn't matter who we have as manager. The players seem to have forgotten how to play, their confidence is shot to shit, we look like a side that's accepted it's fate. I'm starting to wonder if we actually need relegation to clear out some deadwood, play at a lower level to build ourselves back up from scratch in an environment that would give us time to gel a better team together and build a winning mentality. Maybe it's what's been scripted all along, both us and Rafa need to hit the reset button, fall in love with it all again... I just hope that if it takes a relegation to do that then the owners will bear with it and see the potential of the bigger picture.

Backup for Wilson until the summer, not ideal but heaps more of an issue on Burnley and potentially helps us overtake them - could be tactical as much as anything (albeit a rather expensive tactic at £20m! In the grand scheme of things, we've been creating multiple chances of late, just not had an out and out striker to put them away, if this helps that and edges us closer to staying up this season then so be it, we can hit up proper targets in the summer if we're safe. I just hope that it's enough, some of the bigger signings that we thought we'd get seem to be struggling which just goes to show how difficult this window really is, no matter how much money we have.

Absolutely the worse time for this to happen, now there's doubts over everything, even the manager. Any momentum that was building up from potential new signings will now have changed to sheer desperation. Regardless of not needing a cup run, the embarrassment of being gubbed by a league one team, even if their goal shouldn't have stood, it'll be so damaging to us going into the second half of the season and trying to prevent a damn near inevitable relegation. Laughing stock of association football, nobody does it quite like us, no wonder nobody takes us seriously, even with all the money in the world!
