Maybe it has...

Oh fuck this, people now coming out with excuses as to why the scum six shouldn't be punished - "It'll ruin the league", "It's not fair on the players", "It's not fair on the fans" - bollocks! If there's anyone that the fans should blame for the situation and resulting punishments it's the club owners, the clubs deserve to be punished! Other clubs have done a lot less and been punished considerably, this can't be brushed under the carpet surely?!

They signed contracts?!
-
F*ck all, not a f*cking carrot
-
Wasn't it reported that City were last minute participants and were 50/50 with it anyway? They just jumped in thinking they might miss the boat, doesn't excuse it mind.
-
Aye, that's bugging me a bit to be honest
-
Was a shit statement from Boring James Milner, it's a shit statement now from the rest of them, especially this late in the party.

If Arsenal suddenly go up for sale after this, does that make them a much more attractive prospect than us? A London club, better squad, better setup... hmmm https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/marktwerteverein/wettbewerb/GB1 # club Current value 1 Manchester City £924.30m 2 Liverpool FC £905.40m 3 Chelsea FC £701.82m 4 Manchester United £646.16m 5 Tottenham Hotspur £612.72m 6 Arsenal FC £494.19m 7 Leicester City £428.31m 8 Everton FC £416.25m 9 Wolverhampton Wanderers £370.89m 10 Aston Villa £341.73m 11 West Ham United £251.78m 12 Newcastle United £227.43m 13 Southampton FC £225.45m 14 Brighton & Hove Albion £223.74m 15 Fulham FC £200.79m 16 Leeds United £193.19m 17 Crystal Palace £182.97m 18 Sheffield United £137.52m 19 Burnley FC £117.23m 20 West Bromwich Albion £109.13m

I wonder if they will still receive any punishments for trying it? I mean, they 'should', but will the FA, Prem, UEFA, etc just let them off because they've backed out of it?
-
How many clubs actually made a statement?
-
A good point actually could be that some of those twelve superleague scumbag clubs could suddenly be available for sale, they could be a more tempting purchase than us.
-
Really hope it drives some of the owners out that are purely in it for their own greed and have no actual interest in football or appreciation of the fans and history. ... I don't think it will though.
-
This is a tremendous win for the common man!... Though I am still a bit worried now that it'll have a negative impact on any potential Saudi takeover, there's going to be such a focus on any new owners coming in.
-
This is brilliant, I've just got in and seen the news. When I went out there was a small mention about Chelsea perhaps reconsidering, now I find it's Chelsea, Man City, Athletico and Barca and all twelve of the superleague scum clubs are having an urgent meeting, not to mention Woodward resigning and the Juventus chairman going too, absolute quality!
-
I know, sorry about that!!! I don't like venturing in to the other thread...
-
I'm not keen on venturing in to this thread but I think my latest thoughts on the takeover are starting to warrant it. I have this horrible feeling that the renewed focus on club ownership caused by this whole superleague situation is going to blow our takeover out of the water. Allowing another foreign multi-billionaire group to come in and take charge of an English club could well cause further uproar from neutrals. I wouldn't be surprised if it was blocked on the grounds of a tighter ownership test being reviewed and implemented... bloody typical of our luck yet again!!!
-
I'm yet to see any star players or managers from the dirty half dozen actually put any weight behind their words, especially the managers. It's one thing to say they disagree with it but it's hollow if they don't follow that up with action.
-
-
You know what, part of me is just a little worried that all this hatred towards foreign billionaires being stirred up, however justified, might just increase the chances of our takeover being even more heavily opposed by the powers that be. I can't see many wanting to be associated with another potential source of this greed fueled running of clubs, really hope I'm just being paranoid.

It's got to be one of the most ridiculous ideas ever. I mean, we all know they've been angling towards it for years, ever since the Americans got involved and thought they could turn the Prem in to the NFL, it just makes it all an utter shame though. A closed shop league, no promotions, no relegations, with clubs who won't represent their fans or the cities they're from, it would end up as all showbiz and no sporting content. How long before they changed the team names or crests? Hopefully if players received a lifetime ban for participating it would end the idea pretty fast, how many would be daft enough to risk their careers should their moves not be successful? Can you imagine what would have happened to all those young players Chelsea used to sign up that had potential but then never made it as first team regulars, then got sold or loaned out? It would be carnage if they had to go back working at Tescos.

A proper grafter that shows passion and desire to getting a result in every game he plays, he's twice the player that Hendrick or Fraser is.
-
I guess if the PL go through arbitration the PL can't be held responsible by the top six or Bein if the Saudis win, a loss from arbitration is a win/win for the PL as it takes the decision out of their hands.
-
... true though, wouldn't expect it from a chap of his learning
-
If it was found that Masters and Hoffman had actively been acting on behalf of the top six or a third party, showing a clear bias over every other team in the league, it could result in a full overhaul of the FA. It would be like when the Sepp Blatter incident carved FIFA up, integrity has to be key in competition otherwise it all falls apart for them (you'd hope). I'd love it, love it if we beat the corruption at the FA!

Haha, fucking Puke Edwards on it with his doom straight away:
