I have a bunch of German friends (Berlin based) and I kid you not some of them speak English better than me

I think more than anything most of the board just had their hearts set on signing the Leicester lad tbh Which may still happen who knows.
-
I was going to say, I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with the sentiment but he choose entirely the wrong example to back up his viewpoints I usually lean on the sides of the player as clubs get away with a shit tonne of bullshit too and as much they make a lot of money their wealths pale in comparison to the owners so I don't usually like to defend the multi times over billionaires. But in this case I don't think Isak has a leg to stand on really, he's been an utter cunt to everyone involved and there's no real way of defending it.

Aye this was the original report for anyone who missed it

Someone said today he plays LCM, AM and LW so I wouldn't take that part too seriously. I would assume based on targets this summer he wouldn't be signed to play as a winger ( but used there if necessary)

I have no idea, which is why i said "google" I know nothing, but he was described on more of the defensive side from what I can tell. If i'm wrong then fair enough. (I'll just blame google for being a useless nonce)

Attacking midfielder is a loose term tbh, you could easily also be looking at CMs who are more focused on going forward and be described as an attacking midfielder. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a #10 type.
-
According to google he isn't an attacking midfielder so you can probably rule him out.

I didn't either well I guess I learnt something new today.

Tbf I don't remember many serious CB links either until it just happened.

He said there is interest didn't he? That doesn't mean we have made official moves to sign him. Reading was never Lee's strong suit mind.

I'm convinced he's going to do well purely based on what our latest Milan friend said. Has all the physical tools but lacks concentration and needs a leader alongside him. Italy historically has been significantly more tactical and mental (I assume that's still the case?) and he should be able to leverage the physical tools a lot more in England. A lot of the time players are dependent on their environment, there's the outliers that do well regardless of where they go but most footballers need to be in the right place at the right time. I haven't seen anything but I find it hard to believe a team that won a trophy and qualified for the CL would have leadership issues. Based on the interviews I've seen regarding Isak the manager is very obviously a leader so that part shouldn't be a problem.

I'll be honest I've been out of the game so long that I didn't realize he was only a part owner!
-
They're owned by Ryan Reynolds, I think the comparison here was like two teams who have risen through the divisions quickly due to outside investment? I assume there's not much of a comparison outside of that tbh.

Not just picking at gdm here, but anyone who feels that way about this should genuinely consider at the very least finding other things that makes them happy. Part of the reason I stopped watching because I used to feel the same way and it was not good for me. You don't have to quit like I did, but having various things so you can say "fuck this" at any point. If you do then I apologize for assuming. But in general this shit ain't worth putting negative energy into, even small shit like "this window sucks" eventually adds up and snowballs into something much bigger. I'm more saying this as like for future windows because they're all mostly bullshit and mostly negative because the people leaking the news want that for engagement. It's really not worth it as I'm sure once the season starts everyone will feel much better anyway. Well provided the team doesn't suck anyway, but I don't think that will happen.

Yeah OT is saying if those things happen it would be a B+ not that it's that currently.

I love Risotto, granted i'm sure it's way better in Italy than what i'm used to

Based on everything i've read this summer I think this is just a coincidence of how slow and quite frankly inept the management team ( or lack of) has moved than it is a cheap choice. Now granted if there are no other signings outside of Wissa or they go for a cheap option in midfield (without an Isak sale) then you are probably right, but I don't think there's enough information to suggest this is a cheap option yet.
