My approach is basically this to everything he posts and has been for many years I genuinely can't believe he still gets bites.
-
It's truly incredible how he still does it
-
Tbf to Edwards his reporting on this has never changed all summer, it was always 150 to "get to the table" and based on what he said most recently that hasn't changed. There was no cast iron certainty it would be enough. Based on what I've seen this summer though, Douglas doesn't seem to know anything.
-
I'm not the biggest "old guy screams at everything young guys do" Mainly because I'm in my 30s. But why do they think it looks good and more importantly why are their hair stylists or barbers just saying okay to it
-
Earlier this summer he was referred to as a 'super agent' so he's probably a lot of people's agent based on that.
-
Honestly disgusted by the fact he's choosing to have less hair. Fuck him honestly.

Reading this thread I get the impression that at certain points this summer they've tried to replace both Isak (Ekitike and Sesko) and Wilson. But right now they seem focused on replacing Wilson, which to me at least explains the current links. I genuinely think Isak isn't going to be sold, they're going to get somebody in the door to replace Wilson and go forward with that. Then probably sell Isak next summer provided he doesn't do a complete U-Turn which seems unlikely all things considered.
-
Didn't they lose two attacking players? I can see why they would want another.
-
Based on what I've read people are intent on only looking at the ability to finish which is an area Jackson has lacked in apparently. That's probably where the disconnect lies, unfortunately strikers job goes way beyond sticking the ball in the net. Because well the ball doesn't just magically end up there, I feel like if he has enough raw attributes then backing the staff to develop the end product is a decent bet to make. From what I can tell the club is basically forced to make these educated guesses on players rn as I doubt certainties exist with 10 days left.
-
Oh I know Kaka I'm just saying in a long winded way that having two good strikers isn't necessarily better than one great one and fk all else. I get the situation though, so needs must.
-
The issue is you can't really do the thing where you put two strikers output together while they are first choice for their respective clubs and say you're better off now because you have two good options instead of one great one. They won't both be playing at the same time and will probably have less minutes so the environment is totally different. As the old saying goes there's only 11 players on the pitch at any one time so while having two 15 a season strikers instead of one 25 a season striker is in theory better. In reality it doesn't really work out like that.
-
They're still an attractive destination outside of just money, let's not deluded ourselves. Footballers don't see them as the running joke that fans do and probably won't for many years to come.

This tweet was posted in December, it's very possible at the time this was true and his efficiency worsened as the season progressed. I just noticed it myself
-
Oh apparently he has been Anyway the point is that goal return is massively due to what's around you and how the team is set up. Looking at that in isolation without considering the context and assuming it wouldn't be better or worse elsewhere is quite silly tbh.
-
I believe that's the point, because Jackson hasn't been efficient in front of goal for Chelsea doesn't mean he wouldn't be elsewhere. The environment matters and maybe it would be better here.

We both know that happened wayyyyy before this transfer window

Yeah but the actions are a result of the apparent speculation. Stuff like that will never be actually fully officially confirmed by the club so it's all you have to go on. I just feel like people are very quick to hammer players like Wissa but are very happy to defend management for causing the reaction. He's supposed to be professional but at the same time they can do what they want. I usually wouldn't care but I find the bias towards defending management for shitty actions and then not being okay with players reacting to those actions rather strange personally. The reason Isak is different is because as far as we know he did this without any action from the club to cause it. He just decided to go in for himself because he felt like it, Wissa on the other hand genuinely has a very good case as to why he's upset. The difference in those circumstances matter to me.
-
This is all true, I'm only going off what's been reported. If word comes to light Isak was given the same promises that it's reported that Wissa was then sure then it isn't that different. But as of now I look at the two very differently and feel the circumstances behind their decisions should be treated as such.
-
Feel like it's vastly different. One was promised something by the club and now going back on it because they feel like it and probably won't have many other chances to play CL football. He was literally lied to by his club. The other acted like a cunt for no real reason and wasn't motivated by anything but his own aims. Are they doing something similar? Sure but that's about where the similarities end, the circumstances to where both got to this point are vastly different and those circumstances matter.
-
Yeah like for me it's easier because it's just me, if I had family involved it's a completely different story. Good luck in keeping the bairn away from Man Yoo btw
-
Yeah like I'm happy I got out, I'm wayyyyyyy happier of a person for it but I get why people stay around. There's a level of community (a vastly important thing in life) around it that isn't always easy to find.

I'll be honest everything you've all been saying this summer is how I felt a decade ago. Granted it seems like it's gotten worse. (Somehow) I watched the highlights of the game against Villa this morning and though to myself why am I doing this
