the rage alternate Mike would be displaying is only rivaled by some mythological tales.

I could see some logic behind having them on the bench for extra firepower later. With two starters missing due to injury and suspension, one being a cunt and one not signed in time there is a lot missing. It is weird tho granted.

It was pretty obvious from all the reports that Bayern could pay the asking price but they were incredibly arrogant and thought he'd wait for them until Stuttgart folded. (even if it took a year)

That top is nice as fuck, I hate merch (or any type of clothing in general really) that makes you look like walking billboard. But you could wear that literally anywhere without looking like a utter nonce.

thought this part was interesting as in why he struggled at Bremen. In the sense it really pinpoints the type of player he is and why he's probably going to be a success here ironically.

Damn The quickest flight I've had was a 45 minute one to Amsterdam.

I think people reporting it are overthinking it tbh, because he drops deep and brings others into play doesn't mean he won't be used as a main striker.

Unicorn is a term that came from Basketball (like a lot of TCDisms but funnily enough we don't use them anymore really ), was basically used to describe players that make no sense and have a really rare skillset (an example would be 7 foot dudes who move like they're 6 foot or under) So i guess in that sense Woltemade does fit the bill, granted it's probably a bit cringe to use in this context.

I said this when Thiaw signing was happening, I feel like it makes sense to go for players like this if they address a skillset hole in the team which their weaknesses can be covered up by his team mates strengths. For Thiaw it was adding pace to a team that seemingly doesn't have much, if you don't have a lot of goals in midfield but have players who do the stuff he doesn't do I can see why it would work.

I remember when I followed football intensively ( So like 8 years ago at this point) Di Marzio was considered very reliable for almost anything. I don't know what his reputation is like now, but good to know he's still reliable for Inter at least.

Oh I paid no attention to football for like 8 years until this summer so fair enough if it's a relatively new development. But every video I've seen on him over the last few months has him shitting on football governance in some shape or form.

Simon Jordan has been against this for a while, every video I've come across of him saying anything on the subject is basically one of contempt. I don't like the bloke but he's definitely on the right side of history with this one

Barca fans are bricking it

Tbf he doesn't seem to shy away from the physical challenge at all. Seems to enjoy the whole back to goal and bringing people in part. That's a different skillset than being good at scoring with your head.

Agree with this, of all the strikers linked this summer the only one with a case of having the skillset you'd want + similar upside going into the future is Ekitike. Going from everyone accepting you're going to try and get a solid Premier League striker but on the face of it seems to have a limited ceiling to grow to someone Bayern wanted who clearly on a pure skill level is above that and has potential to be something more than solid would qualify as insane to me.

Can't believe this cunt runs my team now

I feel like the buzz is more because of his overall game. His technical skill set is just wayyyy better, this stuff really matters at the top level. Yes he hasn't had a huge goalscoring output yet, but he has a overall skillset that can do so much for a team's overall attacking threat. I get you want your striker to put the ball in the net with regularity and hopefully he improves in this regard but he has stuff to his game that most of the forwards i've seen linked simply do not have.
