The video Mike posted a few pages back made him look like Berbatov. Looked class.
-
Depends on how good they're English is, I have one friend who sound EXACTLY that reads and it's class.
-
To be fair, Germany have had struggles developing top class strikers since the Klose days to my knowledge. So it isn't just a PL thing, granted seeing the lads highlights he does look very talented.

Pretty sure it means it's utter bollocks to get people to click on the article.

I've only been reading about the manager for like 6 weeks but there's one thing that's painfully obvious. Even if this Merlin nonce was correct about this stuff (he obviously knows nothing) there is no way in hell would Eddie Howe would start Isak under those conditions because he hasn't trained for months provided Larsen happens like he claims. I've seen like 60 minutes of highlights so I cannot fathom how someone who actually watches games would ever think this is possible.

Seeing people on Twitter call him Benjamin Tesco

Well yeah the fact I have zero idea how much they had to spend this summer does play into my feelings somewhat. If 45-65 is correct then it's probably fine, the idea of selling a prized asset under these rules should hopefully all things being well allow you to reinvest for another 2-3 years before needing a massive sale again. As long as you're still able to do that it's probably fine and I'm overreacting.

I think that a club without a proper management team (no DOF or CEO), being knocked back several times this summer and people being forced into unnatural roles is leading to some less than ideal circumstances. I don't know the inner workings of the club, because there's a human element at play here that I'm not privy to. But personally I think the best thing to do is to buy one striker, tell Isak he is going nowhere and restock once the dust settles and hopefully the management is more like it should be. It just seems like a bad idea to spend 100m on two strikers who on the face of it have a somewhat limited ceiling. But I do know very little as I have pointed out many times, but reading between the lines the idea of buying Wissa and Larsen doesn't seem like a good one for the reasons I pointed to.
-
I feel like it's obvious why, Isak is supposed to be the golden goose. If he's sold and almost all of the money is spent to replace him on a striker rotation nobody seems convinced by. It's all very good selling your prized asset but the least you should able to do is reinvest it across the squad. Spending most of that money on two players is just poor asset management (especially on two players who seem unconvincing long term), I know nobody wants to think about this stuff but with PSR being what it is then it's important to keep in mind. Since I started reading the board again, all everyone keeps saying is the club can't afford to make mistakes but this would seem like exactly that.

3 of the 4 on the weekend? What kinda sick sport is this?
-
It's doubly funny to me because I can feel the "Fuck Boston" rage also coming through with the Fenway Group bit.
-
This isn't really new information mind, several other reporters have been saying the same thing for like a week now.
-
In the future all goals should be celebrated by punching a team mate in the face just to confuse Kaka.
-
I was going to say, if you truly want someone not sure why being cup tied for one competition for one year is going to put you off. Seems unlikely to me.
-
I think in general you gain quite a lot of insight by reading about a player from the fan base that sees them play every week. But it still depends on who is saying it because every fan base has it's fair share of morons. Like with everything it's extremely contextual.
-
Aye but not worth more than 30m smacks of "I'm living in 2006" where that was actually a lot of money.
-
Allow me to somewhat relieve some of that pessimism then. From everything I've read the CB depth seems quite good so if you are to get one hit then getting hit there is probably okay. Ramsey was signed specifically for this reason, Tonali being out for a long period would majorly suck granted. A striker needs to be signed no matter what, but as long Tonali isn't out super long I don't think there's a major need to be super negative about this situation.

Wait these reactions are based on 15 minutes?
-
Should be obvious at this point there is no "as well". If he's a Wilson replacement that's it. They'll try and reintegrate Isak and look for his long term replacement over the next year, that's what i'm reading into all these reports anyway. Isak is going nowhere and all the current names are Wilson replacements.
-
By reading their squad list, he's just living out Pards dream of endless Left Back for Left Back subs at this point.
-
Pretty sure Jar Jar Binks has a higher level of intellect.
-
Hasn't he playing upfront on his own? Bellamy wouldn't have had the career he did if he played as a lone striker I would think. Not saying he'll not ever be him one day, but circumstances are different it feels like.
